Before beginning, review electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions. Disconnect the power adapter, the modem and network cables, and remove
the battery before removing the hard drive bay cover. Remove the RAM door whichi s
secured by one screw. Now loosen the two hard drive screws and pull the DVD/CD-RW drive from the laptop. Replace the cover
before restoring power or reconnecting the modem and network cables.
