I,ve worked for sears installing theese machines for ten years ,my brother called me up to do the adjustments on it and even i had a hard time ,the best solution i can give you is have a qualified sears technician come out to your house to do the adjustment otherwise if you do something wrong you can damage your door ,this is not something i can explain in an email because it is tricky , i have to agree though that this is not a user friendly adjustment ,in the world of automation their are just some things that are better left alone! if you have a steel insulated or non insulated door even more the reason not to atempt this adjustment , your door can buckle under the pressure of the machine and it will cost you dearly for a new door , if your door is wood and is in good shape then if you feel you really want to try adjusting it yourself then refer to the owners manual and read it and understand fully before you program the up and down adjustment also at this point you will want to set the pressure sensitivity to it,s lowest setting so your door does,nt have alot of down force pressure while making the height adjustments , i hope i was able to give you some insight in this and im sorry i was,nt able to give you the answer you were looking for but this is just one of those questions that really can,t be answered through an email , i hope you understand and good luck with your adjustment , sincerely glenn mayer

Why Can't I add another remote to a merlin mt60p

If you purchase additional transmitters, the garage door
opener must be programmed to accept the new remote
code.
Program the Receiver to Match Additional Transmitter
Codes:
Using the orange "LEARN" Button:
1. Press and hold down the transmitter button you wish to
program to the opener. The orange LED will flash to
indiciate it is receiving signal from the transmitter.
2. Press and release the "LRN" button.
3. The sourtesy LEDs will flash once.
Ensure the door is clear of obstruction, then test the
transmitter.
Using the Motion Detecting Control Panel
(optional accessory):
1. Press and hold the button on the hand-held remote that
you wish to operate your garage door (1).
2. While holding the remote button, press and hold the
LIGHT button on the Motion Detecting Control Panel (2).
3. Continue holding both buttons while you press the push
bar on the Motion Detecting Control Panel (all three
buttons are held) (3).
4. Release buttons when the opener light flashes. It has
learned the code. If the light bulb is not installed, two
clicks will be heard (4).
Now the opener will operate when the transmitter push
button is pressed. If you release the transmitter push button
before the opener light flashes, the opener has not learned
the code.
To Erase all Transmitter Codes:
To deactivate any unwanted remote, first erase all codes:
Press and hold the orange "learn" button on opener until
the learn indicator light goes out (approximately 6 seconds).
All previous codes are now erased. Reprogram each remote or keyless entry you wish to learn.

Door goes down and when it stops at botton, it turns and goes back up ??? Need adjusting ..How can I adjust???

Adjust the position of the door by using the black and purple buttons. Black moves the door UP (open) and purple moves the door DOWN (close)
Setting the up position: 1. Press and hold the black button until the LED starts flashing slowly, then release. 2. Push and hold the black button until the door reaches the desired UP (open) position 3. Push the door control or programmed remote control. This sets the Up (open) position and begins closing the door. 4. Immediately when the door begins to close press and release the black or purple button. This will stop the door Setting the Down position: 5. Push and hold the purple button until the door reaches the desired DOWN (Closed) position. 6. Once the door is closed, If there appears to be too much pressure on the door, you may toggle the door back and forth using the black and purple buttons to reach the desired closed position. 7. Push the door control or programmed remote control. This sets the Down (closed) limit and the door should open.

Can not program both keypad & remote to operate at the same time

One of your units has reverted from "rolling code" to "billion code" and as you have found they will each work but will not work with each other. The problem is finding out which unit reverted. The most common one is the hand remote but that could be wrong.

'04 Nissan Altima can't be trained to open garage door.

Hello , you are probably not doing anything wrong. Some garage door openers will not accept some codes. My Toyota Tundra 2005 worked on my garage door , but my 2004 F250 would not. Quinn , Arizona

Remote missing on old dominator garage door opener

This is the most complicated way I know of coding a remote and I am a tech. who does this all the time.
Turn power off. Wait 3 sec's & turn back on. Quickly press program button on back of box twice. Lights will flash, bottom light will stay on. Press program button twice, & No. 3 light will start flashing. Press and hold your remote button until light stops flashing. Code will be accepted.

I have a skylink 318r keypad with receiver to open my overhead door but dont know code as sellers of the home didn't leave this with - how do you reprogram both transitter and receiver?

keypad is model 318K
receiver is model 318R
factory setting for keypad PIN is 0000 #
there is no master reset code
you must have the current code to reset the PIN
if you hit the correct code on the keypad followed by the # key - you will get three beeps.
to change the PIN: (current PIN needed)
enter current 4 digit PIN then *
enter new 4 digit PIN followed by *
reenter new 4 digit pin and *
if accepted - backlight will flash and will sound one long beep
takes 2 CR2032 button cells for keypad
you could sit in a chair one night and start at 0000# then 0001# etc until you get three beeps
then use above procedure to change to your desired code
good luck

Door opener remotes not opening garage door.

You have to sync the remotes to the new code. For older remotes, you can open the remote and match the pin settings.

For newer remotes there's a button that you push in the back of the opener that sets in program mode (for Chamberlain). When you push the remote button, it will acknowledge the remote is programmed.

If this doesn't help, comment back on your particular model and we'll help you with the solution.
