When you press the “T” zoom button, the image in the viewfinder will become closer. However, since the D-435 uses a digital zoom, the lens doesn't physically zoom, it takes the existing image and enlarges your image using an electronic program. This can result in a “noisy” or “grainy” look to the image, which is normal when using the digital zoom.

SOURCE: Images appear to be very noisy or grainy

When DIGITAL ZOOM is set to ON in the MODE MENU, the lens can zoom into the Digital Zoom portion of the zoom by pressing the zoom (T) button. When you see the zoom indicator on LCD enter the red portion (towards Tele), the image in the viewfinder will become closer. However, since the D-630 is using the digital portion of the zoom, the lens doesn't physically zoom, it takes the existing image and enlarges your image using an electronic program. This can result in a “noisy” or “grainy” look to the image. This is normal when using the DIGITAL ZOOM. The DIGITAL ZOOM can be turned OFF to prevent you from using this portion of the zoom. Locate DIGITAL ZOOM in the Mode Menu and set it to OFF.

What is a Good Iso for a good picture

ISO refers to the sensitivity your camera has to light when taking a photograph.

A lower ISO value is generally better as a high ISO value can reduce the quality of an image and cause it to appear grainy or noisy. Therefore, you should always aim to use a low ISO value. When outdoors in a bright light, an ISO value of 100 or 200 should be fine.

Higher ISO values can be used in situations where, perhaps, you are indoors, there is low light or you cannot use a flash. A higher ISO value such as 800 or 1600 can be used to compensate for the lack of light and it will brighten the image for you. A high ISO value can also be used if you wish to create a grainy effect in the image but this can be easier to achieve afterward on a computer.

I bought a canon sd1100 a year ago. It used to take great pictures. One month ago all pictures taken have been grainy. Do you know why>?

Could be that ISO settings were accidentally changed. The main annoyances with high ISO setting are the noisy (grainy as you say) images. Check the iso settings if you are shooting in modes other than automatic shooting.

LP600 - Grainy picture, very poor quality

Single chip DLP projectors use a spinning color wheel between the lamp and the DMD (mirror chip) to produce colors. If the wheel rotation/synchronization is disturbed, colors will not be displayed correctly.
In my case it looks like the wheel became un-synchronized, probably because the projector was dusty/dirty inside (a light senor is used to detect the wheel position), resulting in a grainy, slightly flickering image.
I simply blew out the components with a can of 'Dust-off' and, using a small tool, rotated the color wheel by hand to make sue it wasn't rubbing or jammed.
I reassembled & started the projector and the image was back to normal.

The camera is a Single Lens Reflex. It is not possible to use the LCD as a viewfinder. Canon answers that question here: CanonUSA

Telephoto images

The D-435 has a 4x seamless digital zoom. Press the zoom button with the T on it and a zoom indicator will be displayed in the upper right corner of the LCD. The W represents a wider area of view as you zoom out, and the T represents telephoto as you zoom closer to the subject. images taken in the digital zoom may appear “noisy” or “grainy,” which is normal when using the digital zoom
