My daughter-in-law just moved in to a newer home with a stainless steel Kitchen Aid ceramic top stove. It has a warming oven, a convect feature etc. However, with options etc. it is very confusing to turn the oven off. Please advise as to how to obtain a manual or just directions on turning off the oven!

The hinges mount inside the oven door, open the door all the way, then move the small clips that are riveted to the hinge to the position opposite of where they sit now... this will hold the hinge springs open. I looked up the parts break down for this model there are 7 different ones your last 2 digits are missing this unit dos not use torsion springs the MW door should have a brown arm riveted to the door that goes into the frame this activates a switch

I found the answer on other posts on this website and it saved me $500! I had the same problem with my Dacor Model ECD2278 double oven. After I ran the self cleaning the top oven would not come on and the lower oven ran almost double the temp that was set. To fix: disconnect power to the oven at the circuit breaker. Open the oven door. You'll see the grille/grate/steel cover in front of the door latch mechanism, and it should have about 4 screws holding it in place. Remove the screws then remove the grille cover. On my model the tiny red reset button was on the right side on top of a black plastic round piece which is about 1" in diameter. Press the little button down til it clicks.

To clean the stainless steel without marking it you can first try non-caustic oven cleaner, if you use normal oven cleaner the acid in the cleaner will etch "eat" the surface of the stainless steel

The good sign is that the motor works fine as do heaters. If the operator interface acknowledges feature selection by beeping or what have you, we can safely say the problem lies with the control board or relay.

Had exactly the same problem and just had the samsung engineer out (as it was only 3 months old ) who replaced the thermostat. all is now working ok
