Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have a Sony KDF-42WE655 was watching it then heard a pop then no picture or sound the led on the front blinks red and green?

Check the lamp of your television. It is possible that the lamp came to its end, to confirm if the lamp is busted, pull the lamp out and for you to see the if lamp filament is broken. if it does, you need to replace the lamp.

Its not the green light that you should be count but the red. How many times is it blinking? Here is a quick update of the errors that are most common.

3x - Lamp switch not engaged
4x - Fans issue

Check at back of set to see if you ever see any light (through vent holes) if not the lamp is likely bad.
