Question about Toshiba 32A33 32" TV
Red light flashes off and on
Teddux may be ranked as a guru, but this is an expensive fix. We had the same problem. Try unplugging the tv for several hours, then plug it back in. We had to do this many times, because the problem kept occurring. Once we were able to get it to stay on, we left it on, with it set on video and watched through our DVD player.
Better still try this: Our flashing red light problem coincided with the volume problem that cardpsycho had, and his/her solution to keep the TV/VIDEO button on the set depressed at all times (I taped a penny very firmly over the button) fixed that. IT ALSO FIXED ALL THE PROBLEMS WE WERE HAVING, including the remote and every button (including the power switch on the tv) being completely unresponsive.
Cost? one penny. Watching the World Series? priceless.
