Check for proper voltage and amps being delivered by the battery first, and clean all connections, place a multimeter on the battery one leg on each post, and have someone turn the motor over, if it drops below 10 volts ,, replace the battery as its weak or has a dead cell, if it does have 11 volts, check the brushes in the starter itself and replace as necessary ,

How to unlock a stuck steering lock on Toyota verso, (use box key)everything on vehicle was tested.

Hi, I seem to have the same problem with my Corolla verso 2004. The steering lock doesn't disengage and the car won't start even though the immobiliser light stops flashing. Have you managed to get it sorted?
Thanks

***** Update**** In the end I did manage to get my problem fixed. It had nothing to do with the key. The problem was a faulty connection in the immobiliser motor that sits on the steering column, It wouldn't disengage. Our mechanic checked and repaired the motor and now the car works fine. It's a very rare fault apparently.

Why wouldnt my car start After removing and cleaning EGR valve?

If it's stuck open, it might not start.

Maybe something came disconnected during service. Carefully check all connectors in that area.

Hi I have an 05 verso vvti with push button start havent had any problems but it wouldnt start this morning just clicking, all lights on the dash are coming on as normal and everything else seems to be...

Despite all the fancy electronic battery testers available very few of them have the ability to detect a battery that has sulphation problems. You will probably find that if you charge the battery it's fine for a while but if you leave your hazard indicators on for about 15 - 20 mins with the engine off the battery will not have enough power to turn the engine over again.... Typical symptom of a sulphated battery - remedy, change the battery.... hope this helps.

Oem code p2716

It can all be explained here: http://matrixowners.com/tsb/T-TC014-06.pdf

BOTTOM LINE: TAKE IT TOYOTA BEFORE THE WARRANTY EXPIRES @ 80,000 MILES OR 8 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP.

I had mine taken care of today free of charge, and hassle free, thanks to the service crew at Condit's Toyota.
