I bought an Advent ADE-300NS from PC World, followed this installation instructions to the letter and it is not recongised by the Vaio pc. clearly needing a driver to run with Windows Vista. Totally useless, especially as a Christmas present for my son.

If you still have the receipt, I suggest you take the product back to where you bought it. After quite a bit of research I can not find any REAL information on the manufacturer of any Advent product. Everything I'm looking at indicates multiple manufacturers for all Advent rebranded products. My best guess for your future happiness with a webcam is to get one that is manufactured by a reputable and known company. These rebranded products are nothing but headaches for the customers and for us researchers. Sorry but that is all I can do.

I lost my manual for my ge easy cam i need it to hok up my cam help please

Hookup should be fairly easy and straight forward, just plug it into the usb slot (assuming it's a usb device)windows should see the device and then begin the installation procedure. If it does this it will then ask you if you have the drivers for it, Install the installation disk and tell windows where to find the drivers. If you don't have the drivers you are going to have to go online and search out the drivers for this webcam and then download them and install them that way.

Hope this helps

Find the company that makes your webcam and go to their website. Once their find the drivers for the webcam you owe. A google search will get it done also, I would help more if I knew what webcam you owend, goodluck or feel free to ask again with the webcam info.

Hi! try to check if the driver for the webcam is installed on the machine, go to start->right click on my computer->properties->hardware->device manager. Check if the driver is there, uninstall and reinstall the driver by following the steps below:

Drivers
1.Click Start > My Computer.
2.Double-click the icon for XP (C:) drive.
3.You may see a message saying "These files are hidden". Click the Show the contents of this folder option.
4.Double-click the Applications folder.
5.Double-click the Drivers folder.
6.Inside this folder you will see folders for each device you can re-install, for example, Audio.
7.Double-click the folder and look for an icon called Setup.exe or Install.exe.
8.Double-click the icon and follow any on-screen instructions to re-install the driver.
9.After installing drivers it is recommended that you restart your computer.

***you have to run a program or a software (yahoo messenger, etc) for you to test if the webcam if it is working or not***

I installed a4tech pk-35n webcam but upon opening it through hamcap message is saying no video capture hardware. please help

It is because your computer can't detect the a4tech webcam, the proper way of installing is first don't plug in the a4tech device, install the driver first then plug-in the a4tech device, wait for the computer to detect your webcam. Make sure that the installation is complete. If the installation ask you to restart your computer, do it right away.

Advent 4211-b problem with built in webcam not working

Go to the device manager. You will see a section called Imaging devices. Click on the plus sign. if any device is listed uninstall it and then restart your computer. The drivers will get installed automatically or you need to use the driver CD to reinstall the same. Once installed use any software like Cyberlink Youcam or any other software provided to you by your vendor. make sure the input device selected is the required webcam.
