Question about Toshiba Satellite Pro M15-S405 Notebook

1 Answer

SD Drivers I am trying to see photos taken from my Kodak DX6340 camera by inserting the SD card into the slot on my laptop. A pop up window indicates I need to install drivers for the laptop to read the card. I am not sure what drivers are required and where to get them. I am reluctant to use one of the programs that scans the computer to update all drivers. Thanks for any help and guidance you may have.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Toshiba sim card slot

SIM Cards are from cellphones. SD Cards are from cameras. Some laptops have the ability to accept SD Cards from cameras to download pictures. Normally you just push it in until it stops, and the computer recognizes it. When you want to take it out you just push it again and it pops out. I don't think you want to push a Sim Card from a cell phone in it.

How can i transfer pictures from acer iconia to memory card

This Tablet Personal Computer [PC] takes Micro Secure Digital [SD] Cards. To transfer pictures from a Digital Camera to this PC, if the Camera also takes Micro SD cards, is simply a matter of removing the Micro SD card from the Camera and installing it in the PC's Micro SD Card Slot and then waiting for the PC's AutoPlay function to serve up the photo files stored on the card, which can then be Dragged and Dropped into a photo folder on the PC.

If the Camera takes SD Cards, then a Micro SD to SD Card Adapter is required so that the PC's Micro SD Card can fit in the camera before pictures are taken and then disconnected from the adapter afterwards, for re-insertion in the PC.

If the Camera takes a different type of Memory Card, then a Multi Card Reader might be required, which would be connected to the computer's USB Port and the Memory Card slotted into its matching slot in the Card Reader.

My photos will not upload

Connect the camera to the PC and if this is not detected then check on the programs if there is any drivers installed. You might need to uninstall and then reinstall the camera drivers.
Also if this is not detected then the memory card must be taken from the camera and inserted into the PC using a card reader or into the card reading slot of the PC.
The images will be detected , if not the memory card is defective.

Hi,
I think you are telling about the adapter if you are trying to insert a micro sd card then insert the card in the adapter and then try to insert it in the slot if you are using a big sd card then directly insert it in the slot.

SD card can't be detected by the computer

Did you install your memory card reader drivers?
If you didnt, install it and it will read your SD card.
The drivers should come with the CD that came with your laptop.

You can also purchase a usb SD card adapter, it is not costly.

DOWNLOADING PHOTOS

Take the memory card and insert it into your SD card slot. From there a screen should pop up and click on import photos. If that does not happen then go to the Start, Computer and click the removable disk Icon, when you open it highlight all and right click and move it to your documents or whereever you would like them to go

How can i use sd/mmc memory card reader on my laptop? ia am using dell inspiron 1525 model?

The SD/MMC memory slot is already configured to read standard and HDSD cards. Just remove the DELL blank from the slot by pushing it in until it clicks and release it. Then pull it out. Insert the SD/MMC card into the slot and push it in until it clicks. The DELL Blank is shorter than an actual SD/MMC card, so don't try to push the SD/MMC card any further than the 'click'. Remove by pushing in until it clicks, release, remove.

Can not read SD card, game pad

You need to install your camera's drivers from the disk that came with it.
Unplug your camera from the computer >> insert the camera's driver CD >> install drivers >> restart the computer >> connect your camera via USB >> a windows pop up will let you know that it has found a new device. If you don't see the pop up this means your USB port is malfunctioning and it's normally from a malfunctionnig motherboard.

If you want to connect it through your card reader I'm affraid you need to buy a new card reader that supports 2G SD card. your current card reader does not supports 2G cards.

Kind Regards
Parkook
