Question about Frigidaire GLEQ2152ES Electric Dryer

1 Answer

Not heating My drier had been beeping with all the lights on the right side of the drier lighting up. I cleaned out the lint tap and the drier hose manually and with a vacume, but it is still beeping and lighting up. I noticed a new symptom today of it not heating up. The manual does not address the issue of the lights and states the issue of not heating could be caused by a blown fuse, but I am unsure of whre the fuse is located.

DEAR FRIEND,
ngfam1 here for you!
I am happy to be of assistance!

Did you check the outside vent opening! If the screen outside that prevents small animals from entering gets even half way cloged, you will loose heat!!!

Otherwise this is a situation that you will need service!

Here is the service company I refer my appliance customers too!
A&E Factory Service
A Nation Wide Company. / Available 24 / 7 for arranging appointments! In the USA.
1(800) 905-9505

If this dryer is 10 years old or more do not spend any money on it!
The new ones are much more efficient! If you have to replace it buy a Speed Queen , it will do 8 loads a week for 25 years!
It's the last washer and dryer I will ever buy!!!! And less expensive than a top of the line unit!

Good luck!
You will be fine now!

Thank You
Bless you,ngfam1

Check filter light blinking will not start only beeps what to do please help

Probably a lint buildup on the sensor. Need to clean the entire lint system. Should be able to remove the plastic frill if the lint filter is inside the drum. Remove the two screws and clean out all the lint then pull the dryer out remove the vent hose. Run a vacuum hose or reach up i to there and pull out the li t. Then clean out the vent hise...a broom handle works if it's a straight shot.

My LG dryer says check filter but I've cleaned the wire filter and the lint that was trapped under the filter. It still says check filter. Is there another filter?

I relocated my drier and noticed the same light when I plugged it back in. The owner's manual states that the light comes on whenever the drier is turned on, to remind you to check the one and only lint screen.

My white knight 44aw often trips the reset on the back of the drier , even when only half full. ps ive checked the filter.

Howdy: On the back side there is a thermostat that shuts off the dryer if too hot. Sometimes lint will kling to it and will sense to much heat. Clean the back of the unit with a vacuum cleaner hose or a blowing device to clear that area. Good luck - Doug

Model number 110-85866-400. Will not turn on

unplug dryer, you have to take bottom panel off, take out lint filter and then remove the duct that that lint filter goes into, you'll see it on left side when you remove the bottom panel,if it died you could have blown the thermal fuse part number 3392519,you will find this on the right top side of the blower wheel housing it's white and has two wires going to it,pull one wire off and check it with a meter, also go outside and check the flapper were it vents outside, that could be blocked,i blow the vent line out with a leaf blower if it's a long run.if you're having lint problems that should take care of it,also if you have a shop vac,put it on blow and blow off the motor, and you can blow all the dust that' in the back forward so you don't have to remove the drum.hope this helps

Dryer is on and tumbling, but not heating up

Most driers have a overload cut-out switch to protect the element from overheating
these are usually on the right hand side of the ( Bump / hump panel at the back ) should be a plastic thpe button that re-sets the overload
- got to be worth a try

Beeping dryer

Is your lint trap in the front? If so, there should be two screws on either side of it. Undo those screws to see if it is clogged. I had the same problem with mine. I had to clean it out by hand and then use a vacuum to get down further for the rest. I also had to disconnect the exhaust hose from the back, that can also build up lint in it, clean that out the best you can, check where the hose connects to the wall and to the dryer then clean any lint out that has built up. You should be able to disconnect the hole on the bottom of the dryer. It should be connected by one little screw. You can pull that out once you have removed the screw so that you can reach inside to check for more lint that can be removed. There should also be a small vent on the bottom left hand side, remove that vent and that gives you access to the bottom of the dryer, if you lucky unlike me there won't be too much lint stuck in there. I used one of the air spray cans that you use on a computer to clean all the lint off the motor, that could cause a fire. Once you have cleaned all the lint that you can hook everything back the way that is was and it should be fine. Since it is your lint light that is coming on then that should be your solution. You have a clog somewhere in the areas I told you that needs cleaned. Good luck.

The problem is with the lower water tank float switch, it is stuck. Take off the right hand side panel (as you are facing the machine) at the bottom you will see a spring mechanism for the belt tension. Beside this there are 2 electrical connectors. Take them off and spray with wd40 or similar. Whilst off give the plastic box they fit 2 a light tap with a hammer to free the float switch. Reconnect and try. If this fails you can over-ride by leaving the left hand of the two plugs off. This will get your machine working but you will not have an indication as to when the water container needs emptying so you will need to remember.

Check lint filter and touch up keep coming on-beeping

Clean out entire venting system. If you are using flexable hose type, replace with solid metal type or at least replace with new hose. You may have a clog my friend.
