I have an American DJ Hyper Gem LED light and have used it at 4-5 dances...its okay in small halls, but I have a friend that also bought one and his is super bright and throws the effect far, mine does not! why is this??? can I fix it?

These are available second hand for under 20GBP so it's not worth even trying to fix it

i,think it having machanical problem other wise you read the catalogue.

If it's been used a lot, the motor brushes are probably worn out.

I have OFTEN found that a cable has come loose. Open the unit and look for such a situation. Also make sure the motion (probably a disc) is working/rotating since with high power LED devices, they have interlocks for safety to keep beams moving.

You would need to have the OPTIONAL DMX timer remote unit which allows DMX control of the fog machine.

I can only give you some ground rules to follow: Connect ALL of the audio equipment to a single receptacle or power conditioner. This may mean running an extension cord back from where the speakers plug in to the mixer. Use BALANCED lines, either XLR or TRS to connect the speakers to the mixer. Power the lights separately. To give anymore suggestions would require a diagram of how your venue is laid out and the location of power, etc.

If by chance teh light is on the end of a long DMX cable run, read about putting a terminating resistor at the end of the chain. You say you are having "trouble"... that doesn't tell us anything that we could help you with.

Exactly the same thing happened to me think they send them out like it so you get the info fader upgrade I took out the two screws popped the fader out it was cruded up so I sprayed contact cleaner in to it.Just to clarify you have it set up right if your using it just with software you need the in on chan 2 out on chan 3 on the front and make sure the curve is set right

Usual problem is unit hasn't been put into sound activation mode. Make sure the display says:

"SOUn" and select the "on" in that mode.
