Hi this is a common problem with all these types of phone, the problem is to do with the data ribbon that connects the screen to the circuit board, this thin ribbon has several single strand copper wires and after a while one of these will break and this is what causes the white screen, now as this is such a common problem it makes the part cheap to buy and cheap to have fitted.
so if you want to keep using this phone you need to take it into a small phone shop as the bigger ones will have to send it off and they charge more, the smaller phone shops should be able to fix it whilst you wait or the next day at the latest.
let me know if you need further assistance ok
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks
Most models slide to open this common problem. The main thing I suggest you change the new ribbon cable. is not about just the keypad will not work if the ribbon cable is damaged, but lcd display is not functioning properly if the ribbon cable is damaged. You are lucky to still be able to use it even can not move left or right, if not berfunggsi menu button, you can only power on mobile but can not use it.
The Nokia 5200 cannot be
unlocked because it is What is called a
'BB5' Model. This restricts the phone and
cannot be unlocked via code or Cable.
The Only way this phone can be unlocked is
if you visit your mobile service provider,
and request an unlock.
