Reboot it every now and then. There's no solution ... you may call sony ericsson to air your problem IF someone will ever listen. or Use it as a PDA and camera. but never as a phone..We had a defective unit like yours. We trusted the brand, but it proves otherwise. sad thing is the warranty is 24 hours only on a brand new phone, we still bought it... But as i've said, we "trusted" the brand Sony Ericsson as we already proven the excellent P800 and P900i. but that's not the case with the latest phones of SE.

Just got my 2003 explorer sport trac dome light dont come on when you open the doors but they come on when you push the button to turn them on how do I get them to come on when I open the doors?????

The instrument cluster illuminates the interior lamps when an unlock signal is received from the vehicle security module. The illuminated entry feature will be canceled when any of the following conditions are met:
  • 25 seconds have elapsed since the illuminated entry feature was activated and the interior lamp control is not activated (door ajar or courtesy lamp switch on).
  • The instrument cluster receives a request from the vehicle security module (remote transmitter lock button pressed) and the interior lamp control is not activated.
  • The ignition is in the RUN or START position and the interior lamp control is not activated.
The instrument cluster illuminates the courtesy lamps when any door is open or ajar. The courtesy lamps shuts off when the doors are closed and the illuminated entry feature is not active or when the vehicle speed is greater than 5 mph (8 km/h). The interior lamps are not reactivated until the vehicle speed is less than 3 mph (5 km/h) and a new door open warning lamp signal is received.
The instrument cluster controls the courtesy lamps illuminated entry function by activating the battery saver relay.
The panel dimmer switch is integrated into the headlamp switch and controls the interior lamps by activating the instrument cluster through circuit 1034 (BK/WH).
The vehicle security module sends a signal to the instrument cluster on the UBP network circuit to indicate a request to turn the illuminated entry feature on or off.
The on-demand lamps, glove compartment assembly, homelink module, puddle lamps and illuminated vanity mirrors are controlled by the battery saver relay. The battery saver relay becomes active (relay coil is energized) when the instrument is in the awake mode, or in the sleep mode (relay coil is de-energized).

How to Maintain and Extend the Life of Laptop Batteries

Laptop battery is one important component that must be considered in use. Many laptop users admitted the batteries drop and not durable when the laptop is still fairly young age.

How to treat the batteries to make it more durable and can be used much longer? Learn some tips that are mixed following.

Set the battery power

In Windows there is such thing features power options. Through this feature you can adjust the power consumption of a laptop. The trick is very easy. Click the Start button, then open Control Panel and then double-click Power Options icon. Will appear a dialog box with a Power Option Properties. Then select the Power Schemes tab. On the drop down menu will have six options, namely Home / Office Desk, Portable / Laptop, Presentation, Always On, Minimal Power Management, and Max Battery.

Try click on one of six choices. Setting the turn of the monitor, hard disks, System standby, or System hibernates time will vary, depending on the option you choose.

If you want a more durable battery, you should choose 'Max Battery'. This option will save battery usage because it only requires a minimum processor speed such as to read the documents or check e-mail. Max Battery will affect the speed of the laptop in the sense of a laptop's performance will decrease.

Do not let any device 'parking' on the laptop when not in use

Often, allowing laptop users have the device plugged in the laptop - whether it's cable digital cameras, USB memory stick, PC Card - though such devices are not used anymore. Make sure the appliance is unplugged from the laptop when not in use because it will drain battery power.

Notice the use and recharging of the batteries

Do not half-hearted when to recharge the battery. Charge up to full 100 percent. If the battery is running low, the rechargeable battery back up to full but do not wait until the battery is completely empty. This will make the battery capacity to work well.

To note again, remove the battery from the laptop if you do not use the laptop for a long time. Would be better if the laptop plugged directly into the adapter if you will work in a long time.

Reduce the brightness launch that the LCD will eat battery power. Therefore you are advised to reduce the brightness of a laptop as minimum as possible but still comfortable to the eye.

Use the Screen Savers 'Blank'

It would appear the Display Properties dialog box, then select the Screen Saver tab. On the drop down menu there are a lot of screen saver options, including FlowerBox 3D, 3D Flying Objects, 3D Text, Blanks, Marquee and so forth. You are advised to choose 'Blank' and set the time waiting (Wait time) up to 2 minutes and then click OK. This step will make the battery more efficient.

Reduce resolution

Another way to make the battery last longer is to reduce the screen resolution and number of colors used in laptops. To reduce it, you can right click on the Windows Desktop and select Properties. In the Display Properties dialog box select the Settings tab. Then set the resolution slider by pulling it to the left to reduce the resolution. Then in the drop down menu select the color quality (color quality) is lower, and then click OK.

Turn off Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi certainly participate actively consuming the battery consumption. If it does not intend to take advantage of wireless access, or to the Internet, make sure the Wi-Fi in the dead so that batteries last longer.

I have 2000 F-250 super duty with charging issues. Truck died on way to work. Put a new Ford alternator on it but still not charging. Took alternator to alternator shop to test. Tested good. Checked and...

Have the battery checked. There were a few years when Ford had an odd problem. The battery saver feature was designed to disconnect power draining equipment to leave you with enough juice to get the truck started. BUT it has been known to disconnect the charging system even at expressway speeds.

If the battery is weak enough to make the Alternator work too hard, the battery saver sees this as a power using problem and disconnects the charging circuit.

It is a sneaky problem and even using a battery charger the truck could be running and showing a charge, but disconnect the charger and it is a TIMED activation of the battery saver.. It activates after a few minutes and then your truck will discharge.

Another possibility is the plug-in for the small wires going to the alternator brushes. When you plug the plastic clip into the Alternator, the wires may not be sliding on the terminal. Often the wires ride up the plastic clip and fail to make contact with the terminal. In the store, they use their harness and clip and the terminal makes contact and works.

Battery status incorrect

This recalibrate's the battery.

Charge the battery completely. Monitor the battery indicator, which is usually found that the bottom of your computer screen, to check if the battery is already fully charged.

Plug off the power adapter and use the laptop until the battery is completely drained. To drain the battery faster, run several programs at once and keep the contrast of your screen to its highest levels. Turn off all power-saving features as well. Turn off sleep mode.

Make sure that the battery is totally drained by waiting for your laptop to shut off or go into sleep mode automatically because of very low battery charge.

Plug the power adapter again and charge the battery again completely. Once this is done, restore the power-saving features and adjust the contract settings of your screen to normal.

My cliq does not charge actually seems to discharge fasterwhen plugged in

If you're charging on a PC it needs to be "active" not "sleeping" or in"energy saver mode". Once the screen saver is on; the phone stops charging and tries to sync back with the computer this drains the battery real fast.

If I leave my computer unattended for maybe 15 min. this monitor turns itself off. Is there a way to fix that? Thanks, brumeister

Screen savers can help protect your monitor from wear by showing a constantly changing display when your computer is not being used. Screen savers can be simple, like the Blank screen saver that turns off your monitor to save energy. To change your screen saver 1. Right-click your desktop, and then click Properties.
2. In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Screen Saver tab.
3. Click the Screen saver drop-down box, and then click a screen saver.
4. Click the Preview button to see how the screen saver will appear on your monitor.
5. Move your mouse or press a key to return to the Display Properties dialog box. To try a different screen saver, return to step 3. 6. Click the Settings button to change the standard behavior of the screen saver you selected. (Each screen saver has its own settings dialog box.) Then, click OK.
7. In the Wait box, type the number of minutes the computer should wait to start the screen saver after you last touched the keyboard or mouse.
8. If you are the only person who uses your computer and you are not concerned about security, clear the On resume, display Welcome screen check box. Otherwise, leave this check box selected. Note: If your computer is joined to an Active Directory, the Fast Users Switching feature will be disabled. This is a common change made to computers used for business, and it happens automatically when a computer joins an Active Directory domain. However, disabling the Fast User Switching feature is not the default setting. Almost all computers in home environments will have Fast User Switching enabled. When Fast User Switching is enabled, you'll see the On resume, display Welcome screen check box. If you're part of a domain, you'll see the On resume, password protect check box.
9. Click OK.
