Question about Danby DPAC8020 Air Conditioner

Danby DPAC8020 loosing it's cool

Have a 5yr old Danby DPAC8020. Been recently using it in the evenings, with the evenings being relatively humid. The compressor will turn off for long periods of time, with the fan remaining on. When the compressor does come on, it blows cool air, but not cold enough to really cool down a room that's less than 200 square feet. It's still venting hot air through the exhaust, but there isn't much water in the tanks in the morning.

Wondering if there is a problem with my unit, possibly with refrigerant coolant getting low or something else.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Had the same problem 5 YR OLD unit and I was sweating. Took off back and side panels. Cleaned out the H2O hose and Took out lots of dirt and grim covering the unit. It seems when the unit is covered with this dirt n grime the auto cut off engages to prevent damage and/or possible fire. After a through cleaning I grabbed for the blanket that evening. Been on 12 hours now and gosh the room is cool,

Run the fan for 2 hours to evaporate the water that can build up with frequent usage and high humidity days. Also...I would check for blockage in the back line and the side bucket. You can always run weed eater line up to clear the blockage.

I need a manual for everstar model# MPM210crbb6 what site do I go onto to down load the manual
You have a different unit listed from the header unit. The above site can take you to a site that has one of the manuals. Look in the box on the right and download the Danby unit manual. You can also browse to see if the other one is there too.

Water tank fills up every 3hrs

The amount of water that is getting extracted from the air in the room is based on how humid the air is. The good news is your unit is really getting quite a bit of moisture out of the air and as such, is working well to cool your room.

It is working as designed. You may want to see if you can connect a hose to a drain port (if yours has that included) to let the unit room longer without the need to drain the condensate (water) every 3 or so hours.

Hope this helps and best regards!

Everstar MPK10CR-1 water not draining into receptacle

there is probably alot more humidity in your area this year than in the past. these units will the the condenstion water to help cool themselves by splashing it onto the condensing coil. the unit is apparently making more condesation then it can use os the extra goes into the collection pan. the FIX is hook up the drain hose.

Do u put water in everstar mpm-08cr-bb4

No. It pulls water out of the air (dehumidifier) and will fill the bucket pretty quickly on a hot humid day.

Danby Dehumidifier

I dropped the water bucket by accident on the dehumidifier, and I have the same problem. Here what I found :
First, remove the water bucket and find the circuit diagram, it is very useful.

E1 code is related to the room humidity sensor, E2 code is related to the room temperature sensor and E3 code is related to the safety thermistor sensor. If you have one of these error code displayed, you will probably have to replace the sensor.

The humidity and temp sensors are located on the same board. To access it, remove the water bucket and you will see the 2 screws holding the front panel. Remove the screws, then gently prayed the front panel. Be careful, there is two plastic clip on the top of the panel and they are really easy to break. The board is located at the top right, under the cover. The safety thermistor is located on a pipe on the right side of the dehumidifier.
