Question about Danby DPAC8020 Air Conditioner
Have a 5yr old Danby DPAC8020. Been recently using it in the evenings, with the evenings being relatively humid. The compressor will turn off for long periods of time, with the fan remaining on. When the compressor does come on, it blows cool air, but not cold enough to really cool down a room that's less than 200 square feet. It's still venting hot air through the exhaust, but there isn't much water in the tanks in the morning.
Wondering if there is a problem with my unit, possibly with refrigerant coolant getting low or something else.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
Had the same problem 5 YR OLD unit and I was sweating. Took off back and side panels. Cleaned out the H2O hose and Took out lots of dirt and grim covering the unit. It seems when the unit is covered with this dirt n grime the auto cut off engages to prevent damage and/or possible fire. After a through cleaning I grabbed for the blanket that evening. Been on 12 hours now and gosh the room is cool,
