Question about Saeco VIA Venezia

1 Answer

Steam works, coffee doesn´t

Hey, I bought a brand new Saeco Via Venezia and wanted to have my first espresso now. But when the machine has it´s working temperature (green light) and i push the coffee-button, I hear the normal sound but there comes no coffee... the powder doesn´t even get wet... Apart from that everything works...
What´s the problem? I need my coffee :) Thx a lot!

unfortunately that doesn´t work as well...

Thanks for the priming info. I called the tech service and the only thing they offered was to send it in for $50 shipping charge but your idea brought it back to life. Thanks so much!!!

Hi,

Try to prime the machine.
Open the steam knob and press the buttom for coffee, when the water comes, close the steam knob.

Doesn't pressurize in order to steam

Can you get hot water and hot coffee from the machine? If yes, then check the thermostats on the boiler, it is possible that the one for the steam could be damaged. Check the schematic below I know its a gaggia model but its close.ac19505.jpg

Saeco via venezia coffee machine wont prime

Turn machine on and make sure that the knob is fully opened, if the pump does not engage(vibrate) then either the machine is not getting power or there is a problem with the pump.

No water moves thru machine - no coffee, no steam

Try this, turn machine off then open the steam wand all the way, and turn the machine on.This will force the pump to work. If nothing happens, and none of the lights come on then the machine is defective.

Steamer won't work

Can you get hot water from machine, if yes then it is posible that the booster tank for the steam valve is damaged. If no then you need to descale machine.
