Instalation software i have uninstalled,my onetouch 9000,and i cannot find the software to reinstall please can u help me

I cannot get the scanner buttons to work. Nothing is showing up on my system tray to control the scanner buttons. The scanner works fine with software control thru Paperport. I have reinstalled One...


This is usually a symptom of either the basic driver being installed (not the OneTouch 4 software), the destinations for the buttons not being set in the OneTouch 4 software correctly or the monitoring program not being active. (For the X7600, the OneTouch 4 software comes with PaperPort programmed as the default destination for the scan button. If that setting got changed, it could cause the problem.)

The drivers and software are available here: http://www.xeroxscanners.com/en/us/products/drivers.asp?PN=X7600 . Scroll down for the manuals. If you have the basic Xerox driver installed, uninstall it (remove the scanner from the Device list by right clicking on it and choosing uninstall) then disconnect the data cable. Finally restart the computer and then install the One Touch 4 software.

If you have the OneTouch 4 software installed, check if the program is set to run on startup.
Click Start > Run then type "msconfig" (without the quotes) in the Open box. Click OK. Choose the startup tab and look for the Xerox software. Make sure the box is checked. Click Apply after changing the settings and restart the computer.

Next, launch the program (Start > All Programs) and try to launch a scan from the One Touch button panel on the computer. Adjust the settings if needed in the Configuration section of the software (see the manual for screen shots).

I can't load drivers for Windows 7 for the 9000 scanner


As far as I am aware there is no Windows 7 Driver available for this scanner Contact Visioneer for a solution

I am getting an error that says '' copy of prtection failure. There is no VRS file- import dongle connected.


You have a corrupted VRS setup - did you try to update the driver? The only way I could fix this problem was to uninstall all the scanner software (OneTouch, OmniPage, Driver and PaperPort) using the Control Panel, remove the \windows\Pixtran directory, run CCleaner's registry cleanup (might not be necessary) and reinstall the scanner software from the Xerox installation DVD. Took me the best part of one day to figure this out.

Updating to SP3 for XP makes Nikon 9000 scanner go dead


Try resetting the scanner. and reinstall the drivers with automatic updates off.

Will not do final scan


What version of windows are you using? Which software are you using to do the scan, and what version? It sounds like either the version of scanning software is incompatible with the version of windows, The USB connection (Assuming it is connected via USB) is a older USB connect (1.0 or 1.1) and a update to the firmware is causing a fault in the final scan, or finally the scanner has gone defunk... time to get a new one.

Nikon Coolscan 9000 ED can not be recognized by computer


I am having the exact same problem...cannot get the Coolscan 9000 to show up in Device Manager. One thing I did try (to no avail) was to run the regsweeper.exe file that comes with the Nikon scan disk. It clears your registry when you reinstall. It still did not work though so I have a lovely "shoebox" sitting next to my computer that is worthless!

USB connection fails


Hi, There shouldn't be any problem really. A couple of things you can try: 1. Verify that you have SP2 in the new Dell; 2. Verify that you have USB 2.0; 3. Verify that all your USB are enabled in your CMOS/BIOS; 4. Un-check "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power" in your USB Power Management; 5. Try other USB ports (front/rear).
