My N95 does this too. I have a fix that will turn the phone on properly.
1st take out battery,
2nd press and hold power button,
3rd insert battery while still holding power button,
4th release power button as soon as your phone vibrates.
That works for me.

N95 keypad lights are not working

There can be errors in the software. So to reset remove the battery and the memory card from the phone. Using your PC , scan the memory card for any corrupt files or media files with virus. If so remove or format the card. Now replace the card and battery and switch on the phone. If the phone pad light are still absent then the fault is in the hardware section , it can be failure of the drive to the LED or the connection to them check for moisture in the pads, if so dry the pad/board.Check the back light setting time dealy on the menu. Seeking help from the authorized service /support centre is most ideal. Take estimate and decide.

Back Light

First, check that the something is actually displayed :
Turn off the phone then put it on charge.
Check to see if the NOKIA logo appears even if the display is unlit. (try angling the display towards a sunlit window).

Having charged it, try to turn it on.. Do you detect the vibration the phone makes when starting up?

If nothing is displayed but you get that vibration I suspect that the display is somehow damaged and you'll need to look at replacement.

You local nokia centre should be able to provide you with a quote for the repairwork otherwise if you're confident opening it you might be able to replace the screen with one obtained from here for example:

Clear/Hangup Key randomly fires

if you have the hair dryer then just dry with that ...
be sure to remove the battery & do that ...

if you still persist the same problem then the keypad might have got stucked with the keypad sensor ....
so if you are good at opening the handset then just open it & remove the keypad & check near the keypad sensor is there any obstacle between it ...
if so clear it then refit the handset your problem will be solved ...
if your are not good at opening the handset then just try tapping the phone lightly ...
this solves your problem ...

any doubts reply me
i am always here to assist you
thank you
bye
dnt forget to rate the solution

My screen is upside down N95

leave the phone switched on and remove the battery and sim card . leave for 10 seconds then insert the battery with no sim , turn the handset on , after a while when the phone has fully loaded leave it switched on and then remove the battery again , leave for a further 10 seconds and then insert the sim card and the battery when you now turn on the phone you should see the problem has been fixed , if however you are still experiencing the same problems then you will have to contact nokia and get a warranty repair .

N95 not working

okay, when did this happen? did it happen right after a firmware update? trust me the same happened to me!! i "bricked" my phone, all mine did was display a faint nokia logo and nothing else, and it would slowly turn of after the battery was removed!! if you could tell me when/why/"after what" did it do this? but don't panic! i got my phone fixed next day as it was under warranty free of charge, as long as you haven't played with the interior or faffed about with the settings or poured any thing on it u should be fine!

ill keep in touch as soon as u tell me more info!!
