It talks about Windows XP runs with multiple user account on one PC. If you didn't make any user account in Windows XP runing in your PC, then its not related to you. Just boot up Windows and install the software.

If your user account has administrator rights then you can fix the administrator password.
Go to Control Panel - User Accounts and click on the administrator account to change or remove the password.
If you do not have administrator rights then -
You can remove or change the Window's User oradministrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access todownload the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot upthe laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CDwhich contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removalprogram. Click on one of these links todownload HIREN'S BOOTCD :- http://www.hirensbootcd.net/ http://67.20.82.163/

How do i login on as administrator on my computer?

Login With the Administrator Account in Windows XP Professional

Click the "Start" menu and then click "Log Off."

Click "Switch User" when the prompt screen opens.

Press "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Delete."

Click on "Administrator" when the "Log on to Windows" screen pops up. Type in the administrator password, if applicable.

Click "OK." You will now be logged in as the administrator.

Log On as An Administrator in Windows Vista

Start your computer and allow it to continue through its startup process. By default your computer will simply load directly to the primary user account (usually the administrator account), but if there are multiple users on the system it will load to the account login screen.

Use the mouse to click on the administrator account from the list of available accounts to log on. This step is only necessary if you've customized Windows Vista with more than one account or you have set the operating system to load the login screen first.

Enter the password required in the password field to log on to the administrator account.

Click the "OK" or "Log On" button once you have entered the password. This button may be labeled differently depending on the version of Windows Vista or any GUI (graphical user interface) changes you may have made.
Log on as an administrator from within the Windows Vista environment by clicking on "Start" and then "Log Off." As soon as you have logged off, you will be returned to the login screen where you can choose the administrator account from the available list.

Good luck.

Windows xp pro logon error message "unable to log you on because your account has been locked out"

Hey!
If your computer is a part of a business network, you should contact the network administrator so he/she would setup or reconfigure your user account correctly.

If it's a home computer, you'll have to log on as Administrator to unlock your account. To do so:
  1. Click Start -> Log off (user name).
  2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice.
  3. Type Administrator in the user name and fill in the Administrator account's password. Leave blank if there isn't any.
  4. Once logged in, Click Start -> Run...
  5. Type in: LUSRMGR.MSC and click OK.
  6. Double-click on Users folder.
  7. Double-click on your locked user account.
  8. Uncheck "Account is disabled" and click OK.
  9. Close "Local Users and Groups" window.
  10. Click Start -> Log off Administrator.
  11. Login to your user account!
Note: If you don't have access to the Administrator account (because you don't have the password), please do tell and I'll give you the instructions on how to reset it.

GOOD LUCK!
Pelu.

Log on to the administrator account. If it is Windows Vista or Windows 7, see this post i made for instructions on how to activate it:

http://www.fixya.com/support/t3702912-forgot_password_unlock

If you are using Windows XP, try booting into safe mode (hit F8 while the system is booting up until the option comes up to log into safe mode). With any luck, the administrator account will not have a password.

Also, if you CAN log onto your husnad's account (you weren't clear on whether he locked you out on purpose or not), and assuming he is an admin on the PC, just go into the control panel, click user accounts, and change your account back to administrator. (If he did intentionally remove you from being an admin then I hope the bad karma of me telling you how to bypass that somehow misses me).

If that WAS the case, and the administrator account has been password protected, and you can't log onto his, then get back to me and I can give you info on how to go on from there.

You need to be logged onto the computer as administrator.

Go into control panel, then user accounts. Find your account and see if it says limited user or administrator. If is says limited, then there has to be an admin account, you'll have to log into that one.
