Question about Apple iPod nano

Not working at all :(

Hi

I was listening to my ipod (2nd gen nano 4gb) and suddenly the screen went blank. The music and all the buttons still worked but there was no image. I turned it off and then tried to turn it back on again but now its not working at all. I always keep in a hard plastic case so its always protected.

I tried plugging it into my computer via the usb incase it was the battery but when i do the screen flicks to grey then back off again. This is repeated. It was bought for me for xmas last year.

Just wondering what the problem might be, how it was caused and if i can fix it?

Any help would be great :)
Thank you!

I got the 4G iPOD this passed Christmas. I've downloaded songs, they don't show up on the iPOD but it will play songs on the XBOX 360. ...?...

I tried downloading several times, and I've tried the toggle to reset.

My daughter's iPod had the same problem. I did a reset and it fixed it. Try this:

    1. Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.

    2. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for 10 seconds (until the Apple logo appears).

    Hope it helps.

slide the hold switch on and off a couple of times...then press and hold menu and center buttons till an apple logo comes on screen...connect to system and restore with itunes.

Nano screen is blank

You will need to replace the screen. This is a relatively cheap fix.
www.rapidrepair.com
At this web site you can purchase the new screen and view a step by step guide (with pictures) on replacing every part in the iPod nano you have. :) Let me know if you have any issues with the resolution. Cheers 1420_LCD_Screen_Repair_4G_iPod

I was given an Ipod 4gb 2nd gen. and I have I-tunes on my computer; there are over five hundred songs on this device, but none of the files show up on my computer anywhere. i can listen to the songs but...

the only way to get the songs of to save then is to use a program to rip the songs from you ipod to your computer such as CopyTransSuite
as for adding and deleting songs, whe the ipod mounts on itunes uncheck the automatically sync music button and you can ckick the music folder and delete by right clicking and delete
if the songs are in someone elses library, if you sync your ipod to your computer the songs will be deleted.
use caution...
hope this helps
