Question about Car Audio Receivers
I am installing this radio in a non-motorcar situation. The installation instructions are pretty clear. Connect red (and yellow) leads to the battery positive and the black to battery negative.
However, I am using a harness supplied to me by Clarion and I have checked and double checked and they appear to be completely compatible.
Nevertheless, the radio will not switch on. this may, of course, be because the readio is faulty but my thoughts turn firstly to whether I am making the correct assumptions regarding the connection of the battery.
Maybe you can help me here?
I have one of these and it stumped me for days. There are security code entry buttons on the TOP OF THE UNIT, where you need to enter a code before any power gets through. It's really weird! I didn't have the code, but Blaupunkt gave me it for free when I told them the serial number, so definitely worth a shot. It is really odd but that's your problem, you need to enter the code manually before you get any power

I believe this radio locks itself when the power is removed for a certian amount of time. If you know what vehicle it was from and the serial numbers are intact contact Ebay item#150285665841
and he may be able to help you. Good Luck.
P.S. Auction is in Great Britain
This is theToronto model .
