Sony kdp-57ws655 standby light stays on. Timer light lights dim. I found a bad resistor. r5435 on the second board from the left(center board). I can't tell what the colors are. Can you help me out?

Indicates a problem with the high voltage circuit. You could try unplugging the power cord, plug it back in and try again. If that doesn't work unplug the power cord again but leave unplugged for at least five hours and try again. Still doesn't work find a local repair shop that works on sony tvs and have them fix it for you.
Check the three CRT drive boards one of the video ICs may be out or you could have a shorted CRT. I would try removing one CRT drive board at a time and see if the set will power up and run with the one Drive board unplugged. That will let you know which CRT has an issue if its CRT related. If that doesnt allow the set to power up then the A board would be suspect

This is a problem with the D-Board, or deflection board as we call it, there are two Ic's that needs replacing that has failed. They are power controller Ic's on the deflection board.
Service Manual of KDP-57WS655 says if TV standby light blinks 9 times then problem is Zero Corssing Detector and you need to replace diodes, D6116 or D6301 which are open on G Board.
