Error: 8100030d If you are receving the error code 8100030d when signing into Messenger, do the following: 1. Determine what version of Messenger is installed on the computer, and then upgrade Messenger if it is required: 1.a. Click here to determine the most recent versions of Messenger for each operating system. If you are not running the latest version for your operating system, please install the most updated version. 2. Delete the cache files for Messenger. Follow the steps below based on which version of Messenger you are using: 2.a. For MSN Messenger: 2.a.i. If you are running Windows XP or Windows 2000 click Start, click Run, type cmd , and then click OK to open the command window. 2.a.ii. If you are running Windows 98 or Windows ME, click Start, click Run, type command , and then click OK. 2.a.iii. At the command prompt, type the following commands. After each command line, press ENTER:

cd "msn messenger"
del /s listcache.dat 2.b. For Windows Live Messenger: 2.b.i. For Windows XP

  • Right click on the Start button and then click Explore to open Windows Explorer. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options. Click the View tab. In the Advanced settings list, select Show hidden files and folders under Hidden Files and Folders. Click to clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box . Click OK to close the Folder Options window.
  • Delete the Contacts Cache folder. To do so, right-click Start, and then click Explore to open the Windows Explorer window. In the Windows Explorer window, locate the folders below and delete all the files and folders inside them

Yahoo! Messenger will not respond. Says check Network Connections. This is fine. Still will not access.


Check in your Firewall Settings, whether you have given access to Yahoo Messenger or not. Check if Yahoo Messenger been blocked by your system's Firewall.

Reinstalling yahoo messenger or doing a system restore should solve the problem, try both ways.

I have Windows Live myself. It works exactly like Yahoo messenger. You have to send out invites to see the people online that you know and they will see that you are online as well. That is all there is to it. Please respond back with more details if this is confusing you or you can not get it to work for you. It's so easy it's too easy. Some times people do not think of the easiest part of things. I am an Audio Engineer and was trained on how to start with the simplest issue there is and work my way up to the problem at hand. Engineering is all about the way one thinks and goes about proble solving.

Try Re-Installing Live Messenger. FYI the Latest Windows Live Messenger needs a file update to be downloaded from MS site. Its a KB File. You may need to download that file. Please update further..

goto the following above link download the latest version of windows live messenger.

First goto your add/remove programs in your control panel remove windows live messenger, then restart your computer now install the newest version of it and see if this helps fix the issue.

also make sure you computer meets the minimum requirements of windows live messenger.
these are as follows.

Avg and windowslive onecare. install 7.5,8.0 or keep windowslive onecare


try to install the nod32 antivirus..
or just dellete the virus through dos comand..if not work..post it again..thanks..
