Rogers problems

This has become a growing problem:
  • As land lines have been reclaimed or replaced in the phone company networks;
  • As the growing older population has lost hearing sensitivity.
  • Because secondary carriers don't always receive the best or least crowded connectons (especially in case of residential versus business which pay more for service).
If you are getting static and cross talk (hearing radio or other people's converstations) notify the phone company and you will probably provided a new connection.

IF the problem is persistent without such interference, consider an amplified phone--some states (California for instance under Federal auspices) makes such equipment available free to hearing impaired. Also check the quality of your household wiring and connections.

Check with you neighbors--if they don't have the same problems, complain to the phone company. If they do, complain together.

Finally, some phones are simply too poor in quality to provide good sound. You might want to upgrade: either the phone set or its line or handset cord.

Can't get my TV listening device to work

It looks like you may have a Sennheiser 840S. There is a t-coil option, however, you can plug in any standard headset to the port on the side and use the device without your hearing aids. It's port #5 on page 2.

what you need to do is go into the equliser and adjust the settings till you are happy with it this is the only way to do it i would also maybe advise a surround sound system for around 70 dollars as you said your picture is great you may as well get surround sound to go with your home cinema experience the problem is it depends on ur hearing you may be able to adjust the equliser this would solve anyones problem but with some people their hearing is a bit more selective the tiny little speakers used in these systems make annoying background noisethe only thing i could advise is a surround sound sytem if you still notice it when you adjust the equliser but trust me it is not ur tv it is how good ur hearing is i hate a tv with tiny speakers

Hearing Aid Support

Because every person has a different extent of hearing loss with a different type, this is difficult to answer. Some believe that there are benefits to wearing two aids. Obviously they provide for a more balanced hearing by better directing sound from different areas. Some believe that two aids provide more clarity and allow the user to hear better in noisy locations. A licensed professional or audiologist will best be able to recommend whether one or two aids will work best for you.
