Question about Microwave Ovens
Our Jenn Air microwave model M166 needs to be repaired. The food isn't heating evenly. Our home warranty company says our policy covers built in microwaves but says that our microwave is not a built in. I found the owner's manual that the previous homeowners left which reads...."this built in microwave oven......" I faxed this to the customer service rep for our home warranty and he is saying that our microwave is not a TRUE built in microwave and is therefore not covered under our policy. Can any of you tech people tell me what the difference is between a built in and a true built in? I am soooo mad!
Bottom line is... Home warranty companies will do anything possible to wriggle out of paying for something. (Especially if it's American Home Shield).
I'd suggest offering to fax / email photos and the front cover of your owners manual. Your model is 100% considered a built in unit and they are lying to you and trying to cheat you if they say otherwise.
