Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

The 3eBK print head on my Canon Pixma 780 keeps clogging up. When cleaned, it works again for a couple of days and then cloggs up again. I've deep cleaned, and I've removed the entire print head to check if debris is blocking it inside, but can't see anything. Any other ideas?

IF your printhead is always clog it only mean one thing that this printhead already has some problem and needs a replacement already , so it will be better for you to have that printhead replace sop everything will be working fine...

Hope that helps........

Run the cleaning through the software, not from the printer itself - go
to Printers and Faxes->Right click on Canon
    mp780->Properties->Maintenance tab->do "deep cleaning" - it
let's you select just the 3e black for cleaning.

    Good luck..........

When it is like that you need to replace the entire printhead.

First ensure that is not a faulty cartridge, try a replacement cartridge, possible original one.

Only things you can try before entirely replacing the printer head are cleaning with cotton and isopropyl alcohol the head, the sensor on the ink carriage.

Then you proceed replacing the printhead.

If it is not the printhead it is a problem with the purge assembly.

Printer not printing black

First of all the print head is clogged just because you have tried to print repeatedly while some of the cartridges are empty. This results ink burn in the nozzle and clog. My recipe: Heat some drinking water in the kettle (70-80 C). Put the head in it and shake gently several times until ink is completely clean (10 minutes). Change the water do the same again. Change the water again (70-80 C) this time put a spoon full of apple vinegar (becomes a natural acidic solution very dilute) shake again, clean with cotton stick. I did it and started to love my mp800 again as much as I just bought it, all colours come back and started to print superior photos again......

I cannot unclog the printer head, even after cleaning particular head (black 3eBK) more than 10 times and deep cleaning another 10 times! Spend a whole cartrigde of black ink on this maneuver! Can anybody...

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

Main black print(BCI-3eBK)seems clogged and nozzle check shows only partial pattern. The cartridge seemed to be stuck to the print head. This happened before about two months ago. My technician cleaned it....

Sounds like you need a new printhead, and the only thing you need for cleaning is a damp cloth. All the Canon inks are water soluable. The printheads don't clean very well and don't last long if you do clean them.

Can't unclog black 3eBK nozzle.

If you said you replaced cartridges with new ones and it still doesn't work, the printer is the issue and may need to be replaced.

Check if there is a tape over the top vent intended to let air into the ink tank and so ink can flow out to the writing head.

3eBk will not print. Canon MP780

Replacing the printhead may work, but it could be a problem with the cleaning assembly. Take out the 3ebk and run a cleaning, if the ink goes away on the pad where the ink cart. goes, then clean assy. is OK, and you need a new printhead.

MAGENTA NOT PRINTING

The other week I had the black print head clog up, requiring daily nozzle deep cleaning [a normal 'ocassional' maintenance function]. Thought I needed a new Print head, so anything worth a try.
I loaded up an old black cartridge [I load all my own......always have] with Isopropyl Alcohol and ran deep clean on that cartridge a couple of times, then repeat printed [6 times] a page full of the number 8 in about half inch character size, to get the alcohol through the nozzles. then Deep cleaned again 3 times, to wash it through the print head.

I reloaded the normal ink filled cartridge and ran the '8' page again till I got good black output. It has now been working without problem, daily, for over a week. Clearly if it's a Magenta only problem, the cleaning as described above would be a bit different, as the magenta is one of 4 colour cartridges.
My printer does quite a lot of work, and was bought at least a couple of years ago, being used daily for alpha numeric and photo printing work. This was the first difficulty I experienced with it.
Hope the above might help.Ken

I am having problems getting my Printer to print text. It prints graphics just fine but it will not print text at all. I have tried cleaning and deep cleaning the Black 3eBK nozzle but this has not...

It's a print-head problem, the black nozzles are clogged out... sorry there is no remedy for this kind of problem..

But, try to ****-in air out from the print head's by using a syringe,
moz-screenshot.jpgno needle, on to the black ink tube, not the actual picture but I hope you got the idea. Then try cleaning again and a print test, keep doing this several times, but it would waste a lot of ink.

Hope this helps.
