This is a hard drive error. Your hard drive has died
you can either replace the motherboard and hard drive as a pair or go through
multiple steps with a modchip to allow you to create a new drive or lock a
previously unlocked xbox drive to the password your motherboard has. Create a new drive

In the top left or right corner there will a number, eg 07, which means its a hard drive error which means the xbox is more or less stuffed as each hard drive for the original xbox is specific to the main printed circuit board.
Theres another symtom that tech's call FRAG lights. Where the lights Flash Red And Green, hence the acronym FRAG, if you are getting this symptom, theres a chance your xbox has died.

1 light - General Hardware failure. 2 lights - Your XBOX is overheating. 3 lights - The Headsinks on your CPU and GPU are not cooling them sufficiently 4 lights - The A/V cable is either not connected properly or is not being recognized by the XBOX.
There is an X-Clamp fix which can be used to fix the 3 red lights.
If It Glows Red Constantly, You have a possible Overheat Problem. if it flashes green/red it,s Fragging.
the clicking needs to be identified more clearly, is it clicking at the left hand-side or the right hand side of the console.

What error number does it have on the screen? It should be a white number in one of the corners of the screen. If you find out what it is, then select add more details in this question and say what the error number is.
