Your statement is a bit confusing. Try thi,s unplug AC, remove battery, replace battery, plug into AC outlet push on/off button start normally. If that fails repeat and at boot repeatedly tapping F-12 to enter restore/recovery.

I have a toshiba satellite l655d-s5093 with windows 7 and it shows pxe-mof exiting intel pxe rom... no bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key. any help to restore my computer? Thanks

Try a "Cold-Start",Remove all media, DVD, CD, USB..etc., Remove AC plug, Remove Battery, Hold down on/off button for 10 seconds, Replace battery, Plug into AC outlet,Push on/off button and Start normally.
IF THAT FAILS, try F-8 during pre boot, try to get to safe mode, or F12 to enter restore /recovery. After each try cold start, remove battery during this process.

Installed new hard drive p105 s6064 now cd drive wont work dont have recovery discs

Dell recovery will not work in a Toshiba Laptop. Just make sure the boot order is set to CD/DVD driver first that will automatically start the CD/DVD driver when disc is loaded.

I got the toshiba recovery media disk that i needed but i cant get them to work!!!

Howdy ,
Sounds like you need to change the order in your setup.More than likely it is set to the c drive as number one and it needs to recognize your DVD/CD drive first so the recovery disk will boot up.When you start your laptop there will be a message telling you what button to push to get into setup. You may be able to use your mouse but if not you will be using the arrow keys and return key and y n keys. Most of these setups have tabs across the top.Open each one and look for boot sequence, highlight CD/DVD ROM and click your plus sign to bring to number one to be checked.

There is another way to do this if you still have an operating system. There is a partisan on your c drive that has a recovery option. Hold down the power button for 10 (ten) seconds and when it turns off hold the zero key and hit the start button.Keep pressing the zero key until you here beeping then you can let it go.The next screen will be a warning screen, select yes to continue , Select recovery of factory default software.Click next and Select recover to out-of-box state. Click next again to start recovery.I did this on my Toshiba and it worked great.dleemacc.png

Im trying to find how to rebot my laptop back to factory its a toshiba satellite m35-s320

Hold down the power button for 10 (ten) seconds to switch off your machine.

Please note: Holding down the power button on the machine forces it to switch off. Any unsaved data will be lost.
  • 2) Press and hold the 0 (zero) key and at the same time, tap the power button once to switch on your notebook.
  • 3) When the machine Starts beeping; release the 0 key.
  • 4) When prompted by the warning screen; select Yes to continue with the system recovery.
  • 5) Select Recovery of Factory Default Software; click Next.
  • 6) Select Recover to out-of-box state. Click Next again.
  • 7) Click Next to Start recovery.

Is there a destructive recovery option on toshiba satellite a105, i have no recovery cd

I'm not really sure what you are asking. If you see an option on startup that says something like press f11 or something for system recovery, then you can recover from the recovery partition--assuming there is one.
You can probably order a recovery CD or DVD from Toshiba, also.

Toshiba satellite display problem

Hello,

ur computer is stuck in resume mode and since there are not all the files on harddrive when it went off so what you need to do is this as soon as it powers on at Toshiba screen keep on taping F8 and then select delete restoration data after that it should boot up fine.

Thankyou

Recovery Problem

Go to Microsofts website and download the Windows XP setup discs. You will need 6 floppies to complete this task. Then change the boot order to floppy, or USB floppy and you are good to go. It will start the recovery of the system. Read through microsofts how to section for more assistance!
