I cannot use my Bluetooth device - it works only one-way
I cannot use my Bluetooth hand-free. 3 different brands - the same result. The connection is ok, the quality of sound is great but... If I make an outgoing call - everything is good, if I'm getting call from somebody my Bluetooth doesn't work (being connected) - I don't hear anything... It looks like one-way connection. Have no idea how to fix it.
Could you help please?
Thank you in advance.

Hi, I had trouble connecting to a corsa with my Nokia, I Had to try serveral things to get it working. first of all is you phone bluetooth name visible?, is your bluetooth name different from other bluetooth device names stored on the car?
Have you tried a bluetooth search from the car to the phone and from the phone to the car?, did either or both devices ask for a pin number(usually 0000)? If you can offer anymore more infomation that would be great.
There are several kinds of Bluetooth Profiles. If you're only looking to send and receive phone phone calls, A Bluetooth headset only needs a Hands Free Profile or HFP.
The EM227 cannot be used as a stereo headset because a different Bluetooth Profile is required. If this is what you're intending to use it for, You may want to invest in Bluetooth enable Studio Headphones.
Try these steps to Troubleshoot the issue:
1. Make sure that your EM227 has been fully charged. the User Guide suggests that you charge the Headset for at least 5 hours before you use it for the 1st time.
2. Go to your device's Bluetooth Settings and scan for nearby devices.
3. Turn ON your EM227 Bluetooth Headset and place it in pairing mode. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash RED and BLUE.
Don't Forget to keep your Bluetooth Headset and your device within 3 feet of each other.
4. If your device asks for a Pass Code, try entering "0000" ( Four Zeroes)
Once you've paired the device, the LED indicator should now blink as a steady Blue light. Try making a test call.
Remember, The EM227 was only designed for Hands free calling ONLY.
I was in Vegas this past week and saw 3 different vendors selling 3 different versions of this item. I was very interested (and intrigued) with this, and thought about purchasing one, but because of the different version, I thought I'd hold off and research it a little more. But long story short, I saw that one of them had a website: http://www.carkitool.com/portfolio.html
I'm curious how much you paid for it? I was pretty close to buying the hands free unit, plus a solar charger (for my iP4) for $180.
You need to put your hands free device into pairing mode this is usually done by turning the power on and keeping the power button pressed in for about 10 seconds after the power has come on. Then you should get a solid LED light up, (depends on device)
On the phone go into
1 Settings
2 Wireless and Networks
3 Bluetooth Settings
4 Turn on Bluetooth
5 Scan for devices
The name of your hands free kit should appear, select this and the phone will ask if you want to pair with the device, confirm this. You probably will get asked for a passkey or password this is usually four zeros or 1,2,3,4. enter this and confirm. Your device should now be paired and each time you want to use it just turn on your handset Bluetooth then your hands free device and your good to go.

Which phones are compatible with my Volvo? In the "Find a phone" section on this website, you will find a list of all phones tested with the Volvo Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System. Select a Volvo vehicle and model year and click "Search" to find out more. Telephones will have varying degree of compatibility with the Bluetooth system in your vehicle, functionality is listed on the "Specifications" page. Telephones that are marked "Red" for major calling functions like making, accepting, and ending phone calls are generally not recommended by Volvo.
Will a Bluetooth®-enabled phone that is not on the list work? If your phone is not on the Volvo-tested phone list, full or limited functions may be available. But since Volvo has not tested the telephone, no indications of whether the Volvo Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone system will operate correctly, or to its fullest capability, can be given. When will new Bluetooth® phones be listed? Volvo will continually test new Bluetooth® phones as they become available, and the test results will be published in the "Find a phone" section on this website. Volvo's ambition is to test as many of the most popular telephones as possible but with a special focus on high-end models from the largest telephone manufacturers. Since phone popularity varies significantly between nations, Volvo will not be able to provide testing that covers all the best-selling Bluetooth phones in all markets. For more information please contact your local Volvo dealership.
Why isn't my current Bluetooth® phone listed? Existing Bluetooth® phones that are not listed are most probably not tested. A non-tested phone may be tested at a later point in time or it may not be tested at all. Because of the high number of new Bluetooth phones being introduced to the marketplace, Volvo will not be able to test all phones. In a few cases, a telephone is not listed because it has not passed Volvo testing. Major calling functions like making, accepting, and ending phone calls did not function properly and/or the Bluetooth connection was not stable.
Why does my Bluetooth® phone have different functionalities than what is indicated in the Volvo test results on this website? This can happen if you have a different software version in your mobile phone than what was used in the testing of this specific phone. For details, please see the test results on the “Specifications” page in the “Find a phone” section. Please check your phone Owner's Manual for instructions on how to update your phone's software. Your phone can also show different compatibility than indicated by the test results if your Volvo has older Bluetooth® software installed than what was used for testing. Other factors also affect the test results of the Bluetooth system, e.g. functionality may differ depending on what network operator is being used. Therefore, the results can only be seen as an indication of what to expect from the Volvo Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System.

BDEATH here. A first NOKIA 6600 i noticed that on some brands works just fine. i had the same as yours and it was a logitech hands free headset.. Try 2 ways. first one is to search for a new bluetooth device by sending a photo, and then save the bluetooth device name. Second just find your bluetooth settings and try to turn it on. It may asked you to look for devices by itself. In both cases have your device turn ON.
