I have a sony wega 42 plasma edtv for 4 year and the color goes out. The tv is still on and still showing but the color went out. want could be the problem?
I have a sony rear projection 50" tv (KDS-R50XBR1) set that has a bad discoloration to the picture screen when viewing programs. Contacted a sony rep who concluded I have a bad optical block. He said it would be too expensive to fix however sony was now offering to it customers a replacement tv at a minimum cost. 225.00 for a new lcd 46" or a 55' for 275.00, or a 50' 240 mh for 575.00. Only one catch I don't have the sony black sticker serial number from the back of the unit there requesting. I told them origionaly I affixed that sticker to the warranty registration card & mailed it in 2006. In lieu of I sent them the serial number sticker from inside my unit with all the same info as the black sticker. I also sent in a copy of my purchase invoice. A charge to my masterCard showing I bought from this particular set. A photo of my tv set showing badly discolaration & a conformation from a sony rep that I registered it with them in Jan of 2006, But I was still denied to this program. I next sent an appeal with all this documation to the Sony Executive Review Committe to honorably review my case but all I got from them was someone from India saying , no black sticker no Tv. Sony is spliting hairs. I have over & above documation I bought a set from them that quaifies for this program. Any suggestions?
