WOULD LIKE TO REFORMAT MY Satellite A215 S7462 BUT DON'T HOW

For the life of me I can't reformat this Toshiba.and I'm pretty computer savvy. I want to bring it back to it's original state and start from scratch.
I've tried with the disk that came with it but I can't get a reformat from them only last configuration or repair. I want to remove everything and start over.I'm running Vista Home which was my first mistake. If anyone has an Idea puh-leez help!

Thank you in Advance

Please try this. Load the first disk then power off. You can hold down F12 after power on then select the CD/DVD drive then hit ENTER. Windows will be loading files then always select the first one for each set of options. If you still have the same result, try tapping on C intead after power on. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

When I try to update Bios on Toshiba Satellite A215-S7462 The computer 'locks up' (becomes completely unresponsive), and the computer's display goes blank (turns off).

Hello,

Updating the BIOS usually brings up some problems. It burns the motherboard. I suggest that you contact Toshiba regarding this for warranty support.

Upgrading BIOS! If it isn't broken don't fix it. Upgrading is a scapegoat fix, and many manufactures have a disclaimer. "You are on you own", and the likes for a reason. Most solutions are found elsewhere. However, if you truly need to update read this to help you with the upgrade. You don't want to end up with a brick. http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/10things/10-common-mistakes-you-should-avoid-when-flashing-your-bios/357

I have a Toshiba Satellite A215-S7462 and the keyboard is acting weird. when I type and press H key it automatically goes in front of the last alphabet i type and when I press down up and side arrow keys...

This is caused by a short in the keyboard. Either something was spilled into the keyboard, or it was hit by a hard object.
Search EBay! for a replacement keyboard. Most of the time you can find them for $35-$50 and have a professional install it for you.

Thanks... a Few days ago, i tried to turn on my toshiba A215, so appeared the bios password screen. I don't know what is the password.... Can you tell me how I can do? thanks

To reset the BIOS read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

Display not working, computer turns on

Step 1.
Attach a regular CRT to the monitor port on the back of your system. You'll be able to use
the computer as before using the CRT as your display rather than the system LCD display.
Step 2.
Use your computer software (you didn't mention what OS you're running), hunt up any/all
vendor-supplied video diagnostics for your system, or download the manual for
your computer at:

We oreded one and got the other

There is no significant difference other than the build version with the latest build being the one you received and the best in that class of notebook, the A200 series.

You received what you ordered it is just the latest edition and you want that kind of service from Toshiba a great notebook maker.

Hope this Fixed Ya!
