Installing my printer

Over the past few weeks i have been trying to install my printer on to my computer. It says on my computer that it has found new soft wear but cant install it. On my printer it says that the application for my scaning doesnt work so i dont know what to really do.

Computer does not recognize the usb device


Hi there,
  • Unplug the printer cable from the computer.
  • Unistall the printer drivers from Device manager and also unistall the all the printer appications
  • restart the computer
  • try to download drivers from the website
  • after installing drivers and software it will ask you to connect the printer.
  • then you can connect the printer and and try to Print the test page.

Install printer


What is your question on installing the printer? Do you not know how? Are you getting an error while trying to install? What Operating system are you trying to install the printer under?

If you are just wanting to know how to generally install a printer there are really two main ways. Most new-newer printers require that you install the printer using the CD that came with it or by downloading the software from the MFG website. During the install or after the install the program will prompt you to power your printer on and plug the cable from printer into the computer.

The other main way is by having your computer turned off, plugging in the cable from the printer to the computer, powering the printer on, powering the computer on, and then installing the printer using the CD or installer found from the MFG website.

If it is a brand new printer then documentation can be found in the box about which way you should do this (usually in the form of a quick setup sheet or in the product manual). Also if the cd that comes in the box says "Run CD first" that would indicate you should install using the first option.

WHY do I have to keep RE-INSTALLING the printer, C4180 All-In-One every time I want to print? This started a few weeks ago, previously it had been installed and an icon was in bottom right corner. Now...


that's not usual..

try to remove all software first.

then get fresh downloaded drivers from makers website

then install

you may wish to do a tune up for your computer first, to ensure it's all aligned well

what is the error message that u are getting while trying to connect ur printer???

have u installed the drivers for this printer???

which operatig system are u using???

please reply me back with the above information...

try this also...

> unplug the usb cable from the printer
> switch off ur printer and also the computer
> restart your computer as well as the printer
> plug the usb cable
> check whether u have the found new hardware wizard popping up on the bottom right corner of the computer
> if it is installing the drivers automatically, well and good... wait for few mins and try to print...
> else if it is asking for the cd to install the drivers, then insert the cd which came along with the printer.

Have you tried turning off your firewall?
That may be the issue.
FIrewalls will block printers. Can you ping the printer and not print to it?

Spooler crashes when printing random PDF's


Installing new drivers dind't help. But what I did is I checked print as an image from within pring options in Adobe Acrobat (you gotta go to "advanced" to find that check box), and then it worked.

Won't print in black


unplug your printer and reinstall the drivers. Your printer is sending data to your computer saying that you are still out of black ink. By rebooting and also re installing your drivers it will reset its self. Or you can pull your color ink and see if it reconizes the black with out it. There also may be a problem with your black shuttle depending how long you were with out black ink it could of dried the surface that helps extrude ink from the bottom of the ink cartriage. I have found never let a ink cartriage ever run completely dry before you buy a new one.. A little wastefull maybe but it can save you in the long run.
