KDFE50a10...originally had 4 flashing red lights>replaced lamp cooling fan. After re-assembly, had 3 flashing red lights>replaced lamp door sensor. Still have 3 flashing red lights. Any thoughts? If it's the lamp, is there a way to test it; as it was working just fine prior to any of these problems?

Samsung DLP 72" HL72A650C1F keeps turning off amd on

Hi,
Did you buy the original lamp?
If the problem is related to the lamp door switch, you will get a different error instead of lamp LED.

Do you hear the color wheel spinning?
Again, if it's a color wheel problem the error will be different!
My good guess is the lamp but, it could be the ballast or both.

Best of luck

hello. it sound's like you need to replace the lamp in your set. and here is how to do it the right way. rember to all ways unplug your set.. # 1 first. .Remove the outside lamp cover. The lamp cover is located on the right side of the Sony television. To remove the lamp cover, simply pull down. You will now have access to the lamp housing. # 2 Open the lamp housing door by turning the locking handle counterclockwise while pulling the door toward you # 3 Pull the lamp unit straight out of the television unit. Be sure not to touch the bulb, as it may still be hot. # 4 Slide the replacement bulb into the lamp housing. # 5 The lamp will slide securely into place.!!! "Do not" touch the new bulb as it will cause damage to the bulb and result in malfunction. # 6 Push the lamp door back into place. Turn the locking knob clockwise to secure the door in place.# 7 Slide the outside lamp housing cover back into place on the television.!!! plug your set back in to the wall & The television is now ready for use. thank you

I have a toshiba 62HM95 DLR TV. I was advised by Toshiba that I needed to replace the lamp to correct my issue. However the replacement lamp worked for 1 evening and I am now back to my original issue. ...

This could be a sign of the color wheel failing. This is part of the light engine assembly and is not sold separately as far as I know. My most common source lists the light engine as out of stock. (The last quote I had was ~$600 for the assembly.)

The cooling fans can also cause a noise as they fail. However, the red light would be blinking in that case.

I hope this helps.

Sony, KDFE50A10, Heard a pop and the picture went black. Now have a flashing red light.

Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet and check. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue persists, then the TV requires service.

I have a code of 6 red flashes on my KDS E50-A10 Sony TV. I was told to replace the lamp and I have just done that, but I still have 6 flasing re light code and no picture. any idea what's next?

6 times red light blink shows error in power supply (GT) board because of no 12 volts output for some reason.
Replace GT board to fix the problem.
Let me know if you need GT board part number info.
Thanks.

Power light flashed red 4 times then repeats no pic,new bulb/fan!

Check the fan that cools the bulb. It is directly behing the bulb. It should turn on when the power comes on. It apparently has a safety to protect your tv(and home). mine is in the process of going out. looking for online solutions as we speak.

TV Magnavox 50ML8105D/17 Problem

I have the same problem my DLP TV would shut off after 30 minutes or less all red LED's. Solution: The fan on the lamp assembly was not turning at the proper RPM (bearing going bad) so it was going into overtemp mode. The original part number was a SUNON KDE1209ptv3 12v 1.3W I had a hard time finding one to match that spec. DIGI-KeyCorp (www.digikey.com) was able to cross reference it to a 3 lead P11034-ND part number (NMB-MAT model fba09a12L).

I Installed the fan and problem went away.
Procedure:
Remove the lamp from the lamp assembly
Remove the back panel.
From the back, slide the main circuit board to the left (loose one screw)
Remove the power interlock on the lamp assembly (2 screws)
Disconnect Lamp assembly cooling fan lead.
Remove the 4 silver slotted screws on the lamp assembly, 2 in the front and 2 in the back.
Carefully remove the lamp assembly from the rear. WATCH the Mirror.
Remove fan, cut leads and solder or **** splice on to the new fan.
Repeat steps for installation
