Vtech cordless phone appears to be mute

Sometimes I hear caller and caller cann't hear me. Sometimes both caller and myself cann't hear each other

    When someone phones me or I phone them they can not hear me. Both of our headsets are that way. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Same thing, regardless if I call them or they call me-there is a lot of static sounds, they can still hear me but I only hear the static.

    Very frustrating, I bought a new battery last year, so it should still be good.

    This problem seems to have gotten worse since I got Telus TV, they say it won't cause problems but.....

Try the "hard reboot". /1/ Unplug power from base station. /2/ Disconnect battery in each handset. /3/ Wait a few minutes. /4/ Reconnect battery. /5/ Re-plug-in power to base station. /6/ Place handset in base station, and wait a few minutes for it to recover.
You may have to reset time/date and/or the handset ##.

For Caller ID with Call Waiting: If you are having a conversation using the VT9121, when you receive another call, you will hear notification beeps and the volume will be muted momentarily.

    No this was not helpful . Because When they call me I can't hear my phone ring at all and my phone will say miss call . Also I can't download music or send picture . please help me . Thank you

I cannot not post a solution. The company does not seems to have the solution either. I need help solving my problem with this phone. I have the CS5113 phone and I can not seem to turn the mute button off.

I can hear the caller but the caller can't hear me


Look to see if the Mute button (or Hold button) has been pressed. If so, press the Mute (or Hold) button again to turn it off. With Mute ON, you can hear what your caller is saying, but they can't hear you.

Hi, i have a vtech 6.0 and can't determine how to delete callers numbers from the caller id


I'm assuming you're talking about the directory. When you enter a number/letter, the "Mute" button serves as a backspace/delete function. So what I did was go to Menu>Directory>Review, scroll to the contact I wanted to delete, and press "Mute", which asks me to confirm to delete the contact. Hope this helps.

This happens with my phone sometimes i just hit the mute button twice but if that dont help i suggest buying a new one
