    Owner's manual on page 33 say's:
    "Advanced Troubleshooting
    Diagnostic Lights
CAUTION: Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the safety instructions located in
    the Product Information Guide.
To help you troubleshoot a problem, your computer has four lights labeled "A," "B," "C," and "D" on the
back panel (see page 48). The lights can be yellow or green. When the computer starts normally, the
lights flash. After the computer starts, all four lights display solid green. If the computer malfunctions,
the color and sequence of the lights identify the problem."

What color code of back panel lights do you have?

Hi, sounds like you need to either: restore windows using your windows CD or, try booting in safe mode by pressing the ESC or Del key during bootup. From safe mode you can reset your system to a time before your problem started.
Hope this helps, if not come back to me with full descrition of problem so I can help you further.

Working on a dell dimension 5150. it posts then states hardrive error, then states an alert about some thermal error(only stated this on post the first time i turned ti on) then shortly after it turns off....

Yes, it probably is the processor over heating, the bios then shuts the system down to save the processor from damage.
The only way to cure this is by taking the heat sink and fan off the processor, wiping all the old coolent solution of the processor and fan then reapply new coolent, this should solve the shuting down issue.

Bills on 10/25/08,11/25/08,12/25/08 for $4.99 each for PerfectDiskLive were not credited to my account. I did not sign up for this PerfectDiskLive.

It has become quite common for credit card number thieves to adopt a strategy of taking small regular payments. Many people do not check their statements and with these are small enough not to raise flags in the credit institution's fraud alert system. Consequently, they can get away with this for some time. It also allows them to verify that the information then have is 'good' and so they can command a higher price for it on the black market.

First, contact your credit card institution and let them know that you did not authorize the charges and that you are disputing them.

Next contact, any one of the credit reporting agencies e.g Experian and place an initial fraud alert on your file. This will prevent anyone from seeting up a new account in your name.

Lastly, inform the vendor, PerfectDiskLive that the charges are fraudulent and tell them that you are disputing them.

My gf has a DELL (pc of ****) that was left unplugged for 4 months, at setting it up I get the (HDsk) or (Alt) with "no keyboard detected" or it goes into (IDE Configuration) then shuts OFF!!!! This is why...

Suggest you contact Dell Support, (Contact Us), and see about getting the Restoration Disk for it.
Also, although it may sound a little 'Out There', do not rule out that the power supply is bad. It may be that Electrolytic Capacitors are leaking paste out. Makes the power supply weak, and will only go so far in booting up.

My GX150 is dead!

First of all, GX150 is a PIII with 1GB of memories max.

do you know how to get into the BIOS?

press F2 when you start up the machine. if the BIOS don't come up the first time. shut-down the machine manually and try again.
after you get into the BIOS go though all if the settng and make sure they look OK. (if you have no idea what they are, DOn't change it). and make sure CD is the first boot device. press F10 to save and exit.
insert the cd in the CD tray and startup the machine.
look at the screen, and press enter when the screen tells you boot from the cd.
follow the instruction on the screen and reinstall the OS.
