SOURCE: paper mismatch

you have to load the printer driver for HP Deskjet 990c. This worked for me perfectly and I'm sitting here printing my wedding invites right now! Good luck!

SOURCE: Paper mismatch error

I got around this problem by tricking the printer.
The paper sensor, on my printer model hp4500 seems to only sense the paper at the beggining of the print job.
What I did to trick the printer to print on odd size paper is slide the paper adjuster to 8.5 and put a regular white sheet in. Then put your odd size paper under it. When you print your document set the number of copies to 2 and print. The printer is going to sense that the paper is correct, and start the job.
Here is the tricky part... once the first 8.5x11 sheet is almost all the way through quickly slide the paper adjuster over to match the size of your odd width paper. The printer should pick up the odd paper and print the second copy. Fool you printa! You should be able to do batches of odd paper size under the first 8.5X11. I hope this helps.

I have an HPPhotosmart C5280. I want to print on an evelope 8.2 x 5.5 for a wedding invitation. The printer tells me paper mismatch every time I try it. I set it up every time on the computer, it prints...

The easiest way to print an envelope is to use Microsoft Word. If you have the software installed, go to start and then create new office document and click blank document. When the document opens, click on help and type in envelope. This will give you instructions on how to create an envelope and save a copy to your document. When you save a copy to your document, it gives you a picture of an envelope which helps to create it. Then click on file, and slide down the print and click ok. Creating the envelope through Word helps to change the printers paper settings. Word will send a signal to the printer to tell it what type of paper and size of envelope you are creating.

Hope this helps?

Trying to print wedding invitations that are size 5.50 by 8.50 and keep getting a paper size mismatch error even after changing the setting in the size

The paper size on the printer and the paper size from the software must match.

Look for the owners manual for the printer and loook for the section that describes how to set the paper size on the printer.

Good Luck

Paper size mismatch for A9 envelope (5.75x8.75)

Set the envelope size in the printer properties paper size list to A5 (5.83 x 8.27) which is only .08 inches wider than the short side of an A9 envelope (5.75 inches). The paper size sensor on the HP6520 printer must not be sensitive enough to tell the difference. I can print A9 envelopes just fine using the A5 setting.

Paper mismatch

Hi kingwa55,

I have an hp photosmart c4480 and was having the same problem printing wedding invitations. Same size 5.5"x8.5'. Im not sure if this will work on your printer, but this is what I had to do.

Click on Print, then Properties, then features.
About half way down there is a drop down box under sizing options.
Click on custom
Create a name, and put your width and height in.
Click Save and then OK
Completely X out of the print options.
Then Click
File, print, properties, features, click the drop down box under sizing options.
Click more and scroll to the bottom and it should be there.

If your options are different then mine, I'm sorry for wasting your time.
