Re: Traditional photo prints

Most photo processing centers or digital printing Kiosks can make traditional photo prints from a digital camera. There are also many on-line photo processors which conveniently deliver prints by mail. You can also make prints yourself if you have a photo quality printer like the Olympus P-400 printer.

they have special batteries meant just for digital cameras that will hold a charge much longer than traditional AA batteries. The traditional batteries usually go dead after only taking a picture or two. If you go to the electronics or photo section at wal mart they can help guide you to what you need the same for radio shack depending on your preference

My protect card option is on and wont turn off .. how do I turn this option off?

Hello there,
To disable the lock, you have to take out the memory from the camera and inspect for a small switch at the side of the card. You have to move it the other way around to deactivate the write-protect function. Works like the traditional diskette.

Good luck!

My camera turns on for a brief second and then immediately turns off. The lense has no problems going in and out it's just the screen that won't stay on.

Check your settings to see if the display is turned off in shooting mode. Does the camera still take pictures without the display on (using the traditional view finder). This is a feature that saves battery life. Can usually be turned off/on in the settings menu.

Where can I find a replacment battery for Coolpix 8800

Genuine Nikon batteries should be available from any camera / photography store.

Batteries Plus stores have aftermarket batteries that are guaranteed to work in your camera for $45. Visit a traditional store or the webpage below to order:

Viewfinder

The shutter remains closed on a DSLR until you take a picture. There is no way to preview an image that does not exist yet.

Being stuck with the tiny viewfinder as earlier cameras had is a good thing. Holding a camera out from your body will give mixed results due to your movements. You will get better results with the traditional method

Computer use

You can show off your camera pictures by using the LCD monitor or by connecting your camera to a television. There are also many photo processing centers that can make traditional photo prints directly from your camera’s media card. However, to realize the full capabilities of your digital camera, a computer is recommended.
