Sears model 626.54462950. I have sound no picture. The solder on the vert ic is good. How much do replacement boards usually run? Where can I find them? I didn't find any Sears parts at servicemanuals.vstore.ca/.
I have same model and my signal deflection card (the big one on the floor of the TV) is defective. If you are interested in parting with this card from your TV, please contact me at not4mailinglists at yahoo dot com.

Re: Sears rear projection television
You would have to leave them a email, as Sears doesnt make their own sets they are usually phillips, RCa or magnavox depending on your model. They would have to determine which chaassis you have and who made it in order to locate any parts.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

Thats almost always a vertical output issue. I would check the solder on the vertical IC located on the D board . If the solder is good or if resoldering doesnt help then I would try replacing the IC itself.
No,U have solderwicks?U can buy it,in any Radio Shack store.Use solder iron on top of the solderwicks to soap up the solders out ICS pins.Replaced the ICS use any kind solders just resoders ICS back to the heatsink.Tries Websites Tv repair World.com,Tv repairkits.com to buy a complete convergence kit.
If convergence out ICs got defective, TV shows 3D look picture. Replace convergence out ICs on D Board, these are two big black ICs with similar number mounted on aluminum heat sink, if you are good ij soldering parts in circuit board, then can replace it easily or call local TV tech for replacement. Let me know further question, if any. Thanks.
Picture distortion in your rear projection TV is because of failure of convergence out ICs that need to be replaced. Qualified TV tech will fix it under $150 or $200 and if your are good in part soldering in circuit boards and have electronics knowledge then can replace by yourself. Required ICs can be purchased from Part Store.
51MP392H/17 Actually I have this TV and you need 2 Convergence IC's STK392-120's (120's and 150's will work) of course order 2 of the same type I'm using replacement 150's they allow for a little higher heat and were cheaper ALSO you need to replace the 12 resistors with 6.8 ohm metal film resistors, make sure they are metal film! don’t skimp out here I did and then they blew and fried my IC's and I had to replace everything again!
What you need: (2) STK392-120 OR STK392-150 IC chips (12) 6.8 Ohm Metal Film resistors set of star screw drivers 15 watt pencil solder pencil, DO NOT use a high watt iron you will fry the surface mounted item. good leaded solder, and flux
BTW if you don’t plan on trying this and are going to throw out the TV, I still need a IC convergence board for a 51MP392H/17 TV I'm fixing, I'm willing to pay S/H and buy your IC board that’s not been tampered with. Edwinkraus@hotmail.com
Time to fix it !!. Replace two Ic's Stk 392-110, and get in service menu settings , and adjust point by point. After replaced stk IC's, check if any resistor look brown or born, if yes, replaced it with 6.8 Ohms. Some TV have ssb ( small signal board, replaced it or rebuilding) If you have questions? email@example.com . Good Luck !!
hi it sounds like a capacitor in the verticle circuit located on the main board. it is near the verticle ic. the verticle ic also could be bad the cost is around 85 dollars for a tv shop to fix. sometime a cold joint could be found around vert ic. a soldering iron is required with solder.tap the side of tv if picture comes back it is just cold solder joint.
If your Model is Tosh 43H71,then pull chassis and locate F850,
F851 soldered-in fuses...check with meter..if open,replace with
proper value micro fuse(s) and solder jumper wires 008,010,017,
048,600 located on signal board.Replace convergence IC's
STK392-110 with IC's from kit # X 480295 ( upgrade )...........T.
Check the vertial output IC. either for defective solder or defective IC. This model has a feature if the vertical output IC fails for any reason the picture tubes blank out as a safety issue.Thereby giving no picture but audio still functions.
Most often this problem is caused by convergence ic's. STK392-110. Sometimes cause is vert. i.c. Also, many times it is from bad solder connections on circuit board. In any case, short of unplugging unit to reset, there's not much you can do without help from repairman.By(1)removing rear cover,(2) unscrewing 2 screws holding chassis in and(3) undo all clips and wire ties holding wiring in place. Small board on (R) side is conv. Slide entire chassis towards you. Remove 3 screws from small conv. board.Remove and mark 5 plugs and 4 black jumper plugs to free board. Look at bottom of board for rings around solder joints at pins of main amps.(STK392-110). Resolder or replace amps and reinstall board. Reconnect 4 jumpers and 5 plugs in same order. Power up unit and hit magic focus. This is most common repair.
