If you have the original game then you can get a no cd patch that will allow you to play the game with no DVD/CD in the drive.

I will not post the link on here to the site but if you want to shoot me an e-mail i will give you the link you need

Windows XP needs the SATA textmode drivers for it to recognise the SATA hard drive. This can be downloaded from this link:
http://support.gateway.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=2391
You will need the SATA AHCI driver

You must then burn the drivers to a CD or copy to a USB stick. When installing windows XP, you will be prompted "press F6" to load additional drivers, at this point the install will ask you to specify where these drivers can be found, if you direct it to the USB or CD Rom (USB is better to avoid disc swapping), it should find the drivers needed and then recognise your hard drive.

The above is a bit academic though, because this does not appear to support Windows XP according to the downloads options on the link

Under BIOS setting, set your hardrive to IDE instead of SATA, or use Win XP CD that contains Sata AHCI driver in order to recognize the hardrive.

Hi,
Make sure your installation CD is ok by testing it in another system. You can use utilities in programs like Nero to scan the disk and make sure there are no read errors.

Let me know if this is of any use.
Best wishes,

You need to call your manufacturer and order a vista cd. Then you need to clear your hardrive using the partitioner provided with your vista cd. After that just follow the installation procedure

hi,
not at all.
This issue may occur if your computer BIOS does not correctly manage or support the capacity of the hard disk on which you are installing Windows XP.

Mx6128 gatway hard drive

The smallest hard drive that can be purchased is approx. 100Gb. You need a Windows installation CD, and provided you have the product installation code (it should be on a Windows label on the bottom of the laptop) installation is fairly straight forward. You may be able to get a Windows CD from a computer shop, they may install Windows for you at a cost. You need to download the device drivers for the laptop from the Gateway WEB site.

Restoration disks

You should'nt have a problem installing as long as you format the hardrive first, as windows can only id the hardware profiles once installed, but you may not be able to do this if it's only a restore disc. This hardware recognition process can be sorted easily if required to validate windows by going on line when installed and microsoft will read the o/s product code automatically and validate.
