there are many ways to connect your printer with your linksys router:
connect your printer via ethernet cable.
connect your printer to the router via usb cable.
connect your cable to the router via wireless network
------------------------------------
so if you are trying to connect your printer router via wifi method. then you need to go to setup on your printer and then go to wireless network option, once you will reach there then you will see there your network name and password you need to fill that network name and password on your router and then hit connect your printer will connected to the wifi.
if you have any kind of problem with any steps or you dont know your wifi password then you can contact to our helpline number :
I think there are 6 ways (at least?) to connect this printer: (1) Direct to Mac (or PC) via USB Cable (2) Direct to Mac (or PC) via Ethernet Crossover Cable(3) Ethernet to router/switch, with Mac/PC also via Ethernet to router/switch(4) Ethernet to router/switch, with Mac/PC via WiFi (802.11 wireless)(5) WiFi to router, with Mac/PC via Ethernet to router/switch(6) WiFi to router, with Mac/PC also via WiFi.
As (1) should be simplest, tried this first. First document would print instantly and completely, next doc would hang in queue with unexpected msg, "Printer is offline." Only way to print 2nd doc was to power cycle (off-on) the printer. This problem occurred whether 2nd doc was sent to printer before or after 1st doc had printed. Tried 2nd USB cable, tried new driver, tried reinstalling printer; same problem. Spoke to both Samsung and Apple support, including both on a conference call; never got this to work and never clarified if problem was in printer hardware/software, driver, or something else. Both companies now showing this issue as unresolved.
Nothwithstanding USB problem, did succeed in modes (4) and (6), although custom wireless config needed since my network does not broadcast SSID and requires an encryption password. Procedure required connecting first via Ethernet, obtaining Configuration Report by holding down orange button for 5 seconds, then using browser to connect to the printer's IP address. Also required different driver for wireless config (as opposed to USB).
Bottom line: What seemed simple - USB direct connect - proved unworkable, but wired and wireless network config works fine.
You can use either external wifi modem and connect it to the notebook by ethernet cable or (better) use PCMCIA wifi card (second-hand e.g. from eBay?) or wifi usb modem connected direct to usb port. Just check if choosen wifi modem supports your OS WIN XP (and service pack - e.g. WIN XP SP3). In the Reference guide of the notebook is not specified USB version - it seems to be v. 1.0, so it is necessary to get an USB wifi modem compatible with USB 1.0 standard.
You putt the smal end off the usb cable into the phone, at the bottom, on the left side. The big end off the usb cable goes into the computers usb port.
You should be promted on the phone to select the desired mode. if not you need to go into settings => Connect to PC, and then check on Ask me.
Hello, Whenext the problem occurs, The first thing that I would advise you to do is,
Uninstall the WiFi Adapter totally from the System first,
Then go to "scan for hardware changes",
This will bring up a prompt to install the new hardware found (Which is your Wifi Adapter).
After this, Press your Wifi button on the system and ensure that it is On, then Scan for wireless networks.
It should connect like that.
(In case you dont know how to uninstall the Adapter, Right-Click on my computer Icon, Properties, Device Manager, then select the Adapter under network adapters, and right click on it, then select uninstall.)
You need to connect your wifi router to the Internet connection first, then your router to your computer. After connecting, follow the setup instructions for the router.
If your laptop does not have a wireless card built into the computer then yes I would go and buy a usb wifi adapter because you cant get wifi if you dont get one.
For broadband you have to connect either with a LAN cable or USB cable to the PC or the WiFi way. LAN cable you cannot connect. USB cable connects to the PC and not the router. WiFi is the answer. If you have WIFi (wireless router) then all you have to do is to search for the WLAN and give the WEPkey when it asks for it.
You can try to connect to the router thru USB cable if you can, I doubt, but there is no harm trying. If you do succeed, do let me know how you did it. I will spread the word around for you.
my problem is already solved but thanx
