Question about Compaq Audio card Sound Card

No sound from my computer

Music, movies, and any sound that comes out of my computer doesnt come out of the speakers but after looking into it everything says its working properly Can not set up program and not found CD-Rom

I have no sound and wont print.tryed to reinstall printer software loaded but printer is not in where printer
is not in printer set up.
and gives me messegs. print spooler not running/rpc server not available.
can any one help.thanks william

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers make sure you have selected the
(((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there

click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it or select audio from the microphone drop down list make sure you have the right one selected and in the volume box make sure the microphone box has a tick in it or select the voice tab and make sure that you have the right media selected also select volume make sure the box for microphone has a tick in it

My computer speakers have a staticy/scratchy noise coming from them, and it' loud as heck. My speaker just all of a sudden got really noisy. I can only describe it as a static or a scratchy sound. It gets...


Turn off you computer and pull out your sound card if it is external. Then plug it back in the same hole. It may just be loose. If this does not help try another card. If you have a built in sound card try installing updated drivers for it from the manufacturers web site.

There is no sound coming out of my speakers and music will not play on headphones.


CHECK YOUR SPEAKER SUPPLY IF SUPPLY LIGHT IS ON THEN CHECK YOUR SOUND CARD DRIVER FROM THE DEVICE MANAGER IN THE COMPUTER PROPERTIES, IF DRIVER IS INSTALLED CORRECTLY THEN UNPLUG TOUR SOUND CARD AND REPLUG IT WELL

look on device manager sound is install or not if not install there yellow exlamation sign. keep bord rdiver and click right mouse then get update driver click on it. go control panel look on speaker sound and speaker setting.

no if external speakers work that means that the sound card is absolutely fine>
now let me tell u the computer itself doesnt have any in built speakers>
either u connect external speakers or the monitor that u use should have speakers built with it> then u connect the monitor to the computer then also use a thin sound cable from the monitor to the back of the computer on the green port

the speakers on the computer might have gone bad so connect external speakers> if they work then the internal speakers have gone bad>
or else go to the Control panel> select sound> see if speakers are the Default device or not> if not select so
