Question about Sharp Fax Machines

7 Answers

My Sharp Calculator EL1197GIII does not print clearly even though I just replaced the ink roll. I cannot find the instruction booklet that came with my calculator. I must have misplaced it. Is there any type of maintenance that can be performed in order to get more clear print? Can you email or mail me a sharp calculator instruction booklet please, and also let me know what to do to make the print clear and crisp?

I appreciate your being so prompt in your response to my problem. I cannot read the small print on the website. I printed 1 page and can't read it,even with a magnifying glass. Please mail me the information so that I can read it and follow the instructions. Thank you. Sue Barnes, 126 Dorchester F, West Palm Beach, FL 33417

I cannot read the manual because it is too small and my eyes are not good. Please mail me the manual to my home address as soon as possible.
I am not mechanically inclined, but I will try to do my best. Thank you.

  • sue123x1 Aug 24, 2008

I have printed out the manual, but the manual does not say anything about how to make the print clearer and I still continue to have the problem.
Please provide me with the #800 phone number for Sharp Calculators so that I may talk one on one to a representative and try to clear up this matter.

  • sue123x1 Aug 24, 2008

Please email me the Phone Number for Sharp Calculators, the #800# if possible. Thanks for your assistance.

  • sue123x1 Aug 25, 2008

You have been very helpful. Thanks for the information. However, when I try to accept the solution, the page for me accept does not show anything but "I do not accept this solution". Check it out! Maybe there is something wrong with the last page of your program, or I don't know how to proceed properly.

I accept your solution. Thanks for your assistance.

Installing ink cartrage in a royal 435dx cash register

1. Open the printer compartment by lifting the black, plastic printer cover.
2. The ink roll is found in the front of the printer compartment, just behind the print
head, and is mounted in a plastic cartridge.
To remove, grasp the small clip on the left of the ink roll (where the words "PULL UP" may
be printed on the ink roll cartridge) and pull up.
The ink roll will easily pull up and away from the print head.
3. To replace a new ink roll, insert the ink roll according to markings "L" (Left) and "R"
(Right) by pressing downward to lock it into position, then close the printer cover. No tools
are necessary.
For best performance, store unopened ink roll package in a cool, dry place until installed.
NOTE: Replace with ROYAL Ink Roll, Part #013109.

Does my SHARP UX-266 take ink? if so WHAT TYPE?

In a sense, it does use ink.
In the form of a film, like carbon paper. you can get replacement rolls here, or just type in your model number and film in to a search engine.

Sharp Electric Cash Register XE-A203. I just put a new paper roll into the register because it was out of paper. The register screen is showing all numbers and transactions but when the paper comes...

Hi whitwall,
Please make sure that you have the right paper roll.
Your machine takes a thermal paper roll, which means it actually burns the print into the surface of the paper as opposed to printing with a ribbon or ink roller like other makes.
The thermal paper will only show a print on one side of the paper, in other words if you do indeed have the right roll and it is in upside down you will get a blank printout.
An easy way to see if it is the right paper hold the roll in your one hand and scratch a line with the thumb nail of your other hand accross the surface of the roll,if you get a black line on the paper then it is the right one, otherwise you have what we call a "bond" paper roll and it will not work in your machine.
If you got the "black line" with your thumb nail, then lift the printer head arm (green lever) place the roll in position with the paper rolling out from the bottom of the roll towards the front of the machine, pull the paper out past the catch mechanism and close the printer ****.Tear off the excess paper and replace the printer cover.
You should be ready to go ahead with sales.
This should solve the problem .
Regards
Gavin.
