What a heap of junk of a machine. The one I own died after 13 months taking the electrics in the house out with it. A faulty heating element was the cause. They leak over their electrics with predictable results. A modified element has been fitted. Avoid this and all Hoover products like the plague.

There is a filter located in the pipe between the connector to the water outlet and the machine, This sometimes gets clogged. If this dos not solve the issue then time to call a tech. Anyway your machine is just 7 months old and it should still be in the warranty period and the service should be free.

Our 3 month old machine started making a high pitched squeel the other day during the wash cycle. Now it has started on the rinse cycle on the Quick setting. Model LD149.

I share your frustration with the same machine. Mine is approx 3-4 months old and within the first month i had a leak at the base of the machine which was fixed under warranty. The following month the machine started leaving water in the base of the unit after the wash cycle was complete. LG claim it is an electronic fault in the circuit board. I have refused repair and am now claiming a replacement with them. I don't feel it is acceptable for a machine that's only 3months old to give problems such as these.

Whirlpool washer leaking oil from bottom. is it gearbox or transmission? is it worth repairing?

It is gear box. Rebuilt on ebay about $100. New on Ebay about $185. Washer has 13-15 ounces of oil. Unless you have a big puddle, keep using it.

HOTPOINT aquarius WF541G

most likely suspect is the heater. undo wires from heater and see if fault persists. if not, heater is down to earth and will have to be replaced.
another possibility is a leak causing some of the wiring to be wet
