Blue function keys on my Averatec 3250 no longer work plus no standby feature anymore.
About 2 weeks ago I accidently uninstalled a small graphics software program (less than 1MB in size) I do not even remember the name; since then no more function of the Fn buttons and "Standby" is no longer highlighted or accessible. My system restore is not working no matter what dates I pick (Windows XP) the message is "Restore Incomplete".

Also, how old is your PC and has it been slowing down? It is possible that certain sectors of your PC are becoming corrupted and can no longer be read so they are no longer showing up/functioning. I would also make sure it is not a virus that is trying to change Root files, etc, which might restrict your access to certain features on your PC like audio, Wireless connection, etc
Worst case scenario, you can always go to a backup time/savepoint in your PC and see if the drivers are there. If they are still there, then it was probably not hardware (assuming they work and stay), but if you go back to a good time in your PC's health and the drivers are still not there/functioning it is probably hardware.
The first thing I would do after turning the computer on is check to see if the video output is being directed to the LCD screen. The output can be directed using the Fn key along with the key with the picture of the 2 monitors on the Function keys at the top of the keyboard. Hold down the Fn key and tap the other key once or twice, Next, hook the computer up to an external monitor. Do the same thing with the Fn key to see if it's the LCD screen. If the external monitor works, then you haven't correctly hooked up the LCD screen or it's bad.
