Cut up peices of paperclips and shove in the hollow part of the broken tube-like area of the joystick. Super glue the plastic piece together. Works like a charm for me.

thumbs up if helpful :)

Xbox 360 analog stick problem.

You could try to disassemble the controller and reseat the stick, but the stick might be faulty. If so, try to look on eBay for a replacement, or at a game repair store, if there is one near you.

Left analog stick drifting left

Hello Iwn666,

There could multiple things wrong, and hopefully nothing serious. Here is a complete list of some problems and solutions that can be wrong with the analog stick.

1. The Left analog stick may be sticky. If you eat greasy foods while playing your Xbox 360 console, try to avoid this from now on. Grease from food particles may slip into the analog stick, and make it sticky, causing the analog to move constantly to one fixed position. Please look at the next problem and solution ahead before attempting to remove your controller with a screwdriver. Here is a complete guide on how to access the inside of an Xbox controller.

----------

2. There may be a simple glitch in configuration. Try turning off your Xbox 360 controller by holding the Xbox Guide button for approx 4 seconds untill a menu comes up. Select "Turn off controller". After doing so, try turning on your controller again. If the problem persists, there may be a greasy analog stick, or an object that broke that holds the analog stick together. the best way to fix it is to take it apart and try to glue it back on, the tab that holds the stick on may have broke off

The right analog stick doesn't respond right away after being pushed, i have to push it hard for it to respond

open it up slowly and gentle then see if there is anything stuck to the analog from the inside sometimes dust or other things hold the analog stick from being pushed or make a layer between the analog and the board button..

My right analog stick is broken. It sticks in one

hey chochie :-)

quick simple ansa to this....YOU DONT :-(

srry...

i have boxes of controllers with one analog stick broke (left or right) & even i dont fix them & i deal in controllers (i mod them)

Its a real big job to replace a analog stick when its damaged !
lots of de-soldering (to remove) (solder ****** working overtime)
& lots of re-soldering fitting the new (or used) one !
Trust me....ive tried ! I can do it...but its not worth the time it takes to repair !

srry maybe not the news you wanted to hear...but honesty the best policy !

take care :-)

My xbox 360 controller right analouge stick sticks going up and right on cod 4 and i cant get it to reset

If it's been pushed really hard or perhaps dropped, it's possible that one of the solder joints has broken. Each analog control has two potentiometers (variable resistors) mounted at right angles. Possibly it wasn't soldered well in the first place but worked for awhile just from mechanical contact. But after awhile, a little oxide forms and a sheerly mechanical contact without solder fails.

If you or a friend are handy at soldering smalls things (i.e. 15W-25W soldering iron, tin/lead solder), you can open the controller with a small crosspoint screwdriver. One of the screws is probably under a label, so you will void your warranty if you try this, but it's pretty easy to put the controller back together and if it's broken anyhow... But if it is under warranty, see what help you can get from the manufacturer.

My right analog stick and A button are broken

They aren't truly broken. I have had that, just keep pressing them. If they broke off or no matter how many time pushed/used they don't work, get a new controller. If not THAT, get a new X-Box.
