There are three possibilities....pull the pressure hose off at the water level switch, and at the air dome on the tub, blow through the hose and make sure there are no restrictions/particles at all. Next, check the air dome itself, (where the pressure hose attaches to the tub) see if there is a lot of dark gunk inside it, and/or cat, dog, hamster, horse, llama, elk, or any other type of hair that may be blocking an air bubble from getting up to the pressure switch. If it appears dirty, the work smarter not harder solution is: reattach the pressure hose to the air dome, shut off water supply and remove hot water hose from washer, insert (if possible, some older hoses are too small) the pressure hose into the hot water hose, it may be a tight fit, but that's a good thing. Next, ever so sllllllllowly, turn the hot water valve up, not even close to all the way, just enough to get a steady stream of water to flush out the airdome. You may want to hold onto the two hoses while doing this, just to make sure they don't pop apart and soak everything with hot water. This should flush and loosen any **** that's been building up in there. Reattach and give it a test. Another possible cause, the water valves may be getting stuck open, if the water turns off immediately after shutting off the washer however, probably not the issue. One more possiblility, If I remember right, the water fill circuit comes back through the timer, so there is a chance that the timer has a stuck/bad contact, and is continuing to supply voltage to the water valves even after the pressure switch is satisified. Try that stuff, lemme know how it goes.

The washing machine is under filling water?

This problem is due to fault in the Water-level switch in washing machine.
The Water-level switch is the part in the washing machine that senses the filling water in the tub. When the water reaches to its required quantity the Water-level switch sends the command to stop the water supply. But if the Water-level switch is faulty. It will sense the wrong quantity of water in the machine. And makes the water supply stop bit early then required. So washer does not fills with required water .The Water-level switch is located at the bottom of the outer tub in the washing machine. Many a times removing and reconnecting the switch makes it proper. in other cases it needs to be replaced.
These will help. Thanks

Already took off pump & cleared out $12 in change but still will not pump all water out or spin out. can hear pump running but think the damage has already been done. would it be pump or pressure...

If the washing machine won't fill up, make sure that the water supply valves are turned on. Next, make sure there are no kinks in the supply hoses that run from the supply valves to the washing machine. If nothing is obstructing the hoses, you may have another controls issue.

Several of the washing machine controls are also responsible for the washing machine not draining, continuing to fill or filling too slowly. If the washer doesn't want to drain or stop filling, the issue could be the pressure switch. When water enters the machine, water also fills a tube in the pressure switch. When the air pressure reaches a certain point, it triggers a switch that will stop the machine from filling. Locate this pressure switch on your machine and look for damage. If you have a multimeter, use it to find any electrical issues. If there is no reading, the pressure switch needs to be replaced.

Washing machine wont fill with water when switched on

Fillingwith water:
The waterfill valve - The water fill valve is a mechanical and electrical part, the coils on the valve need electricity to mechanically open the valve to allowthe water to flow into the washer....myth....the washer pumps water into itself...no, itdoes not. The fill valve opens and the house water pressure pushes the waterinto the washing machine.
No cold wateror no hot water - The fill valve has two coils, one for the hot water and onefor the cold water. It is possible that one of the coils can fail and you loosethat filling ability. If the cold water coil quits, the hot will still work andduring warm fill you will get hot water only and during a cold fill you willget no water at all. If the hot coils quits, you will still have cold waterfill, cold water only on a warm setting and no water on a hot fill setting. Youcan No cold water or no hot water- The fill valve has two coils, one for the hot water and one for the coldwater. It is possible that one of the coils can fail and you loose that fillingability. If the hot coils quits, you will still have cold water fill, cold wateronly on a warm setting and no water on a hot fill setting. You can testa fill valve live for 120volts, power to a fill valve coil and no fill = a bad fill valve. You can also testthe coils for continuity, nocontinuity = a bad fill valve. Some Maytag washers have a fuse in the fillvalve circuit, if this fuse let go the washer will not fill. Fill valves canalso from time to time stick open and not stop filling. If you have to shut offthe fill valves to stop the water fromfilling in the washer, you have a bad fill valve and you will have to replaceit.
Water level controls - The water levelcontrol is also know as apressure switch, this is where you set the water level ( small - medium - large). The water level control is responsible to shut off the power to the fillvalve and direct that power to the timer so the washing machine can start up.The WLC has electrical contacts in it that sends power to the fill valve and whenthe WLC is satisfied the water level is correct the electrical contacts openpower to the fill valve and send the power to the timer and the washer starts.Picture of this here. How the water level control knows when it istime to shut the water off is, a air tight hose runs from the outer washer tank to the waterlevel control. As the water fills the outer tank air is pushed up the hose, depending on which setting you have made ( small- medium - large ) is takes acertain amount of this pressure to make the WLC cycle over and shut off the waterand send this power to the timer. If this hose develops a leak or a pin holethe washer can over fill as the WLC may not be able to shut the water off. Thewater level control can also break down and allow the washer to over fill aswell.
Testinga water level control or a fill valve can be done by using a Testing a water level control ora fill valve can be done by using a ohmmeter or a voltmeter. Help! My fisher paykel washing machine won't stop filling up!

If the water continues to fill even if unplugged the water valve is sticking and needs replaced. if removing power turns the water off the water level pressure switch is bad or there is something plugging the sensor tube somewhere.

Washer didnt fill when turned on, but filled when holding "reset"

sounds like your water level switch is bad OR the small hose that goes from the waterlevel switch to the bottom of the tank has a hole in it.Try replacing this small hose first.you can go to an auto parts store and match it up.it's usually about 3' long and about 1/4" inside diameter and about 99cents a foot.

Kenmore series 90 washer keeps filling with water and won't stop during to move on to next cycle

If overfills onto the floor , then the waterlevel switch hose came off the switch behind the control panel . You have to remove the 2 side screws and tilt panel to see the hose and switch . If the water keeps filling , but doesn't go on the floor , then you have a syphon problem at your drain . As it fills , water is being sucked out by your drain due to no air able to get in around the drainhose and drainpipe . Pull drain hose out of drain and only insert about 4-5 inches into drain . If hose is tightly in drain , a parts house or home depot should have a syphon break in stock .
