Question about DeLonghi Pinguino PAC-02 Air Conditioner
Pac-02 does'nt blow cold. any quick suggestions to fix (perhaps a simple recharge-and how)?
I had similar problem .... on very humid days unit leaks ..... temp solution for me was to drain the unit .... inserted wire coat hanger into tube .... lots of watery gook came out.. - even tilted/tipped the unit inorder to get as much water out of it.......afterwards unit worked fine.
We are VERY SASTIFIED with the Delonghi Pinguino - bought it years ago when it first came out and it has provided years of troublefree service .... the water build up / leaking was only recently - in fact we never drained the thing until this year.

Purchase unit used and worked fine for a day then it would only blow cold air for 3 minutes and hazard light would come on. So I had to press the red reset button on back on unit. Again only blew for 5 minutes and it shut off.
Solution: Clean Sensor.
1. Unplug the unit.
2. Unscrew the back metal wall.
3. Cleaned off the dusk & sensor (a copper rod, upper top left of unit).
(Make sure clean & dry.)
4. Replace metal back onto unit.
5. Plug it up & turn unit on, it should work.
Mine did not work the first time so I waited 24hrs then I turn it on and it's been working ever since. I think maybe it was the sensor might have had a little due on it, but after 24hrs it was completely dry.
