Hi banzi,
Try these check outs and solutions which could give you some assistance.....

1)
Ensure all your connections are properly pushed into the back of the TV, maybe you haven't pushed them in fully, also check the S-connector is properly tightened onto the sky box.

2)Digital TV signals are streamed at relatively low rates. They are, before transmission from the digibox to your actual TV, subject to error detection and correction.

Any errors will slow the TV reception down quite dramatically.

3)It is likely that your LCD TV has exposed a problem with your Sky setup. Whether that is to do with poor wiring, or an incorrectly adjusted Head Amp, is open to consideration.

4)I think you need to find the purchase reciept for your TV set....

You need to contact the manufacturer and explain what you have seen.

Then they should have a list of authorized servicers in your area, you need to pick one of them to replace a board on your TV set....

I think the DIGITAL board or one of the tuners isn't right, and I DOUBT THE TUNER, since you can only get HD into a TV set with HDMI or Component cabling.....

You gotta do it before your warranty expires......you have it right?
or
You need a professional TV Engineer.

I hope you liked my assistance and will consider it to be FIXYA!

The tv suddenly goes black and the power light blinks red

Hi,

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

LG 42LCD less than 6 months old, picture is flashing. What could be wrong?

Hi,

If you have the input connected to the HDMi TV, there is a chance of picture getting flickered, if the resolution send by the device and the TV is incompatible....

If the receiver is set to send the signal at the frequency of 720p and the TV is set to operate at 1080p or vice verse then the picture would flicker..
In the settings in the TV,, try setting it to auto rather than 720p or 1080p, this should solve your issue..

If you were not connecting using the HDMi and if you use other, please leave me the details regarding the cable you use as a comment and ill respond you for the comment..

Object was thrown at 37 inch LG 1080p LCD

The short answer, buy a new one.

A new screen will cost you about the same as a new tv, if not sightly more considering your brand and model of TV. There really is no reasonable price to replace the screen and is usually not completely covered by warranty(some manufacturers don't even include a broken screen as part of the warranty).

The price of your HDTV is not that bad. You could probably find the tv cheaper than the repair if you shopped around a little.

P.S. I'd also stay away from the busted TV itself (health issues).

LG 42LC2DB LCD TV Flickers when Ps3 is connected via HDMI port

Make sure you have the PS3 set to the correct frequency for the TV. Many cannot accept 1080p / 24fps etc.

Try different settings.

I hope this helps.
