It probably overheated. Make sure the wii is in it's silver base and that its on a flat solid surface away from other electronics so it gets plenty of air. Never sit it on the floor. To reset the ac adapter unplug it from the wall AND the wii. Let the adapter sit for 5 minutes and then plug it back in.

While I was playing, the console suddenly froze and switched off.

Hi...

Unplug the AC cord..Let it set for 10 min.

Try to power on again.

If that fails, you'll need to get it repair by someone . Either Sony ( for $150) or maybe someone listed on the web

Nintendo ds lite that shuts off unexpectedly

Hi again,

Ive been doing a bit of research and it seems that if the DS lite has had a knock the black coil near the power switch could have been knocked loose which would make the DS lite switch off randomly. If you want to see if thats the problem take the DS lite apart (for a dismantle guide click here) and check to see if its loose... its the black round thing with 100 written on it near the power switch. If its loose then heat up the solder round it and that should reset it.

If thats not it check the L2 transistor is firmly in place, again if its loose heat the solder and reset it.

Another thing you can check is the power switch make sure its solid and doesnt wobble internally i.e. the black moveable part only moves the way its supposed to, as well as checking the solder is solid.

Hope this helps, if it doesn't sort out your issue then get back to me and I will continue to help you.

I was playing the bigs 2 when suddenly my ps3 started to shut off.I turn it on again it wont turn back on.The red light just keep on blinking.

Turn the PS3 power off via the switch on the back.

Hold the power button on the front of the machine down for about 15-30 seconds.
Then, without letting go of the power button on the front of the machine, turn the switch on in the back.

If it still doesnt come on then you may have serious problem with PS3 in which contact Sony or the retailer you bought it from for exchange or rapair.

Good luck!

Won't power on or eject game. solid red light on-won't do anything else

Hmm. I'm not quite sure exactly what the problem is, but if your playstation doesn't turn at all when you flip the back switch it means your harddrive is probably fried.

Ps3 keeps switching off

It's overheating. That's why it works longer the first time and you have to wait a few minutes for it to cool. Try using some compressed air and cleaning the vents out below. If that doesn't work then you'll have to remove and replace the thermal compound on the GPU and CPU.

Wii completely stops working after power outage

I just had the same problem as everyone else. I had a brief power loss and our new Wii system's power would no longer work. To fix the problem, I unplugged everything from our Wii and unplugged the power cord from the outlet. I let the system set for 10 minutes and re-plugged the power only. That did the trick. Then I was able to plug everything back up and we are now back to playing.

Supposedly, doing the steps above resets the Wii according to the Nintendo online trouble shooting guide.
