You need an xp cd in the dvd drive and set your bios up (F2 or Del on startup) to the cd drive as the first boot device, then on restart the pc will start up the dvd drive, press enter when prompted and then choose instal windows in the options menu you are presented with.

If you don't have an xp cd, as long as you have your own product code number on the underside of your notebook, you can use a friends to do it as it's the product licence you pay for not the cd.

I have downloaded all my photos on to my computer and wish to erase them all from my memory card. What do I do to erase all?

The easiest thing is to simply reformat the card.

You can do this either via the camera menu or via the computer when the camera is connected.

If your PC has a card reader.. simply reformat the card while it is inserted in the computer.

If not. while the camera is connected to the PC.. My Computer.. go to the camera/card.. find the all (CTRL A) and delete.

Best of luck

How to reformat mp3 player......i cant see any details when i connect my mp3 to pc...pc said need to reformat first before use

The simply steps to reformat your mp3 player:

1.If you haven't figured out how to hook it up to your computer, then simply take the USB cord that was given to you and plug it into your computer and then the other end to your mp3 player.

2.Wait for the plug and play to take place; you'll notice the "open folder" window pop up. Close this window

3.Go to your "My Computer" and you will notice an extra hard drive that will state drive F: G: or something in those letters and it will also say USB next to it.

4.Right click with your mouse on that hard drive icon. You will receive a list of options. Click on the format option with a left mouse click.

5.Next the reformat window will appear. Select the scroll down of the capacity to the maximum option available.

6.Next is the file system, you check what you're Windows is running by go to "My computer" and clicking on your C: drive once. At the side panel or the bottom, depending on which Windows you are running, it will display if you have a FAT, FAT32 or NTFS.

7.Select whichever file system you are running.

8.In the allocation unit size, I leave this to its default status.

9.Next, you want to check the check box that says "Quick Format" and click start. Once it has been completed you can close the window and you're mp3 player will be cleaned and reformatted.

How to format sony ericsson 205?

If you would like to format your memory card, do the following:

The reformatting process for the memory card takes a couple of minutes to complete, but can be done from the cell phone itself.

  • Take out the memory card, and turn off the phone
  • Plug the memory card back in, turn the phone back on
  • Access Main Menu -> File Manager-> More
  • Click Memory Status -> Memory Stick -> More -> Format Memory Stick
  • Follow the instructions as the phone gives them.

The same process can be done from a computer. Simply use a card reader and got to My Computer and right click on the drive where the memory card is located. There is an option to reformat the drive. If the computer reformats the drive, then the computer will simply erase all data and reformat, but any cell phone files will not be replaced.

If you would like to reset your phone, do the following:

- Press Menu

- Press Settings

- Press Master Reset

- Press Reset All

If this helps you, please rate.

Thank you.

No audio driver installed after reformatting my PC

Direct sound is actually referring to Direct X drivers. Do a search for Direct X drivers and download and install the correct ones for your sound card and operating system. Also, if you think your sound card drivers maybe part of the problem go to the Sound Card manufacturer website and download the drivers for your sound card and operating system.

If you wish to destroy the hard drive, remove it from the computer and beat on it with a hammer until you destroy it.
If you simply wish to reformat the drive, insert a system disk in the CD and boot from it.
At the first prompt that asks if you wish to repair it, choose that option.
At the prompt you get, the command is format c:

Computer turning off automatically

You don't have to reformat, just restore to last known good configuration. If you know when this problem started, i.e. after a program or update was installed, restore to before that date/time. If it was an update you can hide that update and not be prompted to install again.
If you do need to reformat, simply backup your drivers before you do.
