Question about Harley Davidson Road Tech HA90 MP3 Player

Bike skips or hesitates at 10,20 30,40,50mph If you take off fast you cant feel it.But if you take off gradually you will feel it. Had apower comander installed they said that would fix it 1200 dollars latter that made no difference. Brought it back they put a cam shaft sensor in it guess what no difference. They put it on there dyno machine couldnt find any thing.They said they made a few adjustments its all set now.I asked did you test drive it the answer was yes believe it or not there was no difference . This work was done by a shop where all his work is harleys and he is harley certified. Well after all this I figured a harley davidson dealer would have the equipment to test this if anyone does.So the dealership puts it on a dyno said they couldnt find any thing wrong. Another year goes by I bring it in for tune up plugs replaced wires spark plug etc. That was over 500 dollars.This bike has over 36 thousand miles on it. Has probobly been 4 years running like this it sucks.Waiting for the day it breaks down and will not run hopefully it will have to do with the skip. Think I have been very patient with this spent some where around 2000 dollars I would say. I think it started after like a 15 thousand mile check up and what ever they do or adjust at that time.

Have you had any peformance work done to it at all because sometimes if you have a performance exhaust put on it will hesitate in lower gears. because a dynojet graph should be able to show you where she dips at or gets hesitant and im guessing being that you have a power commander on it that you have fuel injection or that piece of equipment would be pointless. But if you have had the power commander on first and then put say new screaming eagle air intake or a different exhaust or say a different cam the power commander wouldnt acknowledge that that is there. Every motor that harley davidson makes is different and in a way you really should switch to a harley davidson race tuner because most of the dealerships i know of thats the only program they got for there harleys. That or when you got the power commander hooked up the guy that was running on the dynojet didnt set it up properly and your feeling a little bit of dips. Really ideally a harley davidson should run at an air fuel mixture of 13.8 i always preferred running them a little richer then lean. Plus if you tried to map your fuel system with the power commander at your house that could have drastic effects on how the bike runs because you really should get that tuned on a dynojet. because fuel mapping is definatly not something to mess with off your home pc and try it because ive seen people who have mapped there own bikes and when put on a dynojet ive seen there sportsters and softtails sound like rockets but were only getting 25 40 hp at about 3600 rpm. but i would try to get somebody to dial in that power commander first because i dont see why it should hesitate every 10 mphs

I've got a 21 speed bike and I get a skipping ,


It is the derailer (the part on the back that the chain runs through). Take it to a bike shop or bike enthusiast. The repair should only take about 5 min. Some bike shops won't even charge you.

ONE AT A TIME, loosen the nuts securing the training wheels to the rear axle and slide each one upward a little bit so it float a little bit off the ground when the bike is vertical, then retighten the nut.

As she develops her handling and balance skills she'll need less help from the training wheel. So you can gradually raise them a bit higher as she masters balance and then she'll develop the 'lean' for turning. Ultimately, you remove them entirely.

I hope she's wearing a properly-fitted helmet.

TUNTURI E433 exercise bike--- can't change resistance


Hey roger,
I have buyed me a E430 but i have problem with it. does the bike work without the heart rate counter? I don't have it and the resistance is always changing in every program. So i like to know my bike is ok or not

How to put a chain on?


Your question is not entirely clear. If you are trying to replace your existing chain with a new one, then you will need a special tool (chain breaker) to remove it. Here is a link to a video on how to do it.

You may also want to consider getting a quick release chain link for the future to make the job easier.

If you done have access to a chain breaker, then I suggest you take the bike to a bike store. Replacing a chain is cheap and can be done fast.

Off idle hesitation and trottle response


You need to set the valve clearance and the cam chain. After that try setting the fuel air mixture screw. Your bike is running lean off the bottom thats what's causing the weakness at lower rpms. My suggestion is to first adjust the tight valves and then the carb. The valves cause all sorts of issues.
Let me know if this does not work and I'll give you more solutions.
